Re: Removing the speaker grill from my Sony KP-53HS10
There are two screws (1/4 in. philips) located in the lower left and right front of the cabinet near the floor. They may be concealed by a plastic overlay. It can be popped off with a small screwdriver.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

u need to adjust the focus screen , this is located right under the picture tube , u need to take the front speaker grill off , look close to the botton of this grill and u would see a small cover that is covering the screw , remove ths screw and pull hard
So you got the six screws undone, great! Now you can pop off the front speaker grill. The easiest way is to work your hand along the top and bottom to pop the plastic out of the "holders"
If what you are describing to me is the main wires still attached to the rest of the TV. So don't pull it out too far! If you do it right you won't have to unplug the wires, and save yourself some hassle... with this TV you'll have to pull it out JUST ENOUGH to get access to the carboard/masonite backing, removing such will give you full access to the six controls.
Adjust from there! Sorry for the wait, and I hope this helped out! :)
tap around on the circuit boards in the rear of the television.
narrowed it down to the Comb Filter circuit board. It is the smallest
upright circuit board behind where you plug in all your connectors.
pulled it out cleaned it off, reinserted it
