My sirena does not work

It worked beautifully for about 6 weeks and then just now the blue drop looking light is flashing and the machine does not heat up.

I have the same problem with the machine right out of the box. I have yet to pull a shot because it won't warm up. I purchased one two days ago and it wouldn't work either - I am one my second one out of the box that won't work. very frustrating!

Same problem, worked fine then the blue light came on. I have bled the line letting water out of the steamer and it was never without water in the resevoir

mine does not work either, straight out of the box. support is closed. If I turn it on with the steam valve open all the lights blink, turn the valve to close it and they all stop blinking and the power and water light are on steady, no heat.

Out of the box... steam valve was open.  Fill water tank. plugged the machine in pushed the power button and everything started blinking.  I closed the steam valve and turned the power on again.
The only thing it does is show the power light and solid blue water light.  I am taking it back!

Anytime the water runs out and you need to refill the tank, you need to bleed the line so to speak. Take an empty cup and put it under the wand and open the knob of the steam wand until the blue light stops flashing

Mine would not prime at first. It would only dispense about 4 oz of water and stop and the blue light kept flashing. After about 20 times of priming (turning the steam/water knob on and off) it finally kept letting water out until the blue light stopped flashing. I had to refill the tank twice in order to get it to prime the first time. Now it is working great!

Our brand new keurig mini plus wont heat or dispense water

I had the same problem with my Mini ! I also had this problem with my last Mini which was given to me and I tossed out. So I replaced with the new one which just went on the fritz. Called Keurig who were very helpful and told me to descale, but I explained the machine is almost new. So I prodded them for what else could cause the problem and its water that is too cold.

Turns out the problem is that I was using very cold water and the machine can sense the water is cold and will not heat. It does not heat so it wont damage the heating element. I was using 40 degree water from the fridge.

My symptoms were: I would fill it, that the blue light would flash, I would push the button, then the red light would flash and then nothing it would shut off after a while. Now with not so freezing water it works fine!

Hope this helps as I threw out a good machine because the water was too cold!

Starbucks Sirena espresso flashing blue light & does not heat up

Gary,

I have the same exact problem with mine starting today, did you get this figured out? I'd love to know if it's fixable or not as I was planning on selling my previous machine. If it's an expensive repair, I'll just have to ditch this one and go back to my previous one.

You need to prime the machine with water. Fill the water tank. Plug the machine in and turn the power on. Instructions state the lights will flash, but they won't. Blue water drop will illuminate indicating the machine is empty (the water tank is full, but the pipes in the machine are empty until you do the following). Place a cup under the steam wand, and rotate the steam knob fully to the "on" position (fully clockwise as you view it from the side until you hit the hard stop). No need to use force, just rotate until you hear the pump turn on. At this point, you'll hear a pump running, and after 10-30 seconds, water will be ejected from the wand. Continue until the blue light goes out and you're ready to brew. At this point, I think the lights flash and it comes up to temp. One more thing, when using the steam wand, always turn the knob until the pump engages, or you run the risk of emptying the water line. Hope this helps and enjoy!

Error light flashing - wash & drying lights flashing.

My machine would not always set properly and various lights went on and off without reason or stayed flickering. I phoned Hotpoint as like you my warranty was finished. They told me to switch off the machine and unplug at the mains. Leave for 10 minutes then plug back in and switch on. It re-booted the control panel and last night I was able to set it properly. If it doesnt work for you I suggest you phone Hotpoint customer service (number of website) and ask if there is anything else you can do to solve the problem yourself before you pay for another service call. Failing that buy a new one!!

Begin with the headset turned off. Press and hold down the silver call control button in for 6-10 seconds. The light will flash blue first. Continue to hold the button down then release the button when the indicator light starts flashing red then blue.

Thermal compound should be used SPARINGLY for maximum effect. There should be enough to create a thin film over the entire mating surface. Too much compound reduces the heat transfer from component to heat sink. I buy parts from www.mainelectronics.com They are reputable and I can drop by on my way to work :-)
