Loading problems for Half Life

I have installed Half life on my pc, installed fine. When I open the game it comes up with an error ''Your system reports only -2668k of physical memory, Half life requires 16mb.'' Im running a new quad core with 4gb ram and 500gb of storage space? Confused. Any help?

  • select the hl.exe file
  • right click it, and go to properties
  • in the compatibility tab, under the caompatibility mode select "windows xp (service pack 2)".
  • Check the "run as administrator" box.
  • FIXED.
