Question about Frigidaire 24 in. FDB1050REC Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher
When I attempt to start my Frigidaire Dishwasher (model FDB1050REB0) the washing light comes on and continues to flash but the cycle does not start. I have replaced the control module but still have the same problem. The door is latching shut with no problem but I can't imagine what else it could be. Do you think I need to replace the door latch?
I had the same problem : Wash light flashing. I cut the breaker, turned it back on, held the heat / start buttons...No change. I thought of replacing the control panel but first I removed the latch. There are two contact switches kind of like old small engine points. I cleaned / lightly filed them. Reassembled and it works fine!

Well, I've got a different problem. I need a control module!!!
The flashing WASH light appears to indicate the door latch (switch) is not fully engaged. I proved that I mine which works, just doesn't pump out/drain water. If I unlatch the door and then press START, the WASH light blinks.
*WARNING* 120V ELECTRICAL CURRENT! ONLY ATTEMPT THIS IS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!
The switch is located behind the control panel (5 screws from the inside.) The Hot (Black) AND Neutral (White) wires comes from the electrical input and pass through the switch. You can do a simple continuity check with the power disengaged to test the path through the switch and into the control module (pins 3 & 9m black and white).
Now... anyone have a Control Module (working) they want to give/sell to me so I don't have to go buy a new dishwasher? I just replaced the drain valve on mine :( If you do, you can send me a note vidioteic (at) gmail (dot) com

Good Morning friend, thanks for your post!
After researching the issue you are having with your Electrolux dishwasher it is possible that resetting your appliance may help. I would disconnect power from your dishwasher by unplugging it or flipping the household breaker for roughly ten minutes. If this does not resolve your issue I would recommend seeking assistance from a professional to properly diagnose and repair your dishwasher. -T
