Speakers are thumping and cracking when powered up...why?

I have a Power Acoustik PTID-8960, have wired up to 4 amps, 1 amp for the front speakers, 1 amp for the mono-subwoofer, 1 amp to the rear deck speakers, and 1 amp to two-subwoofers. When I power up the head unit, the rear deck speakers and two-subwoofers thump and the deck speakers thump and crack............why, and how could I fix this?

You are better off setting your deck speakers amp to a high pass filter setting on the amp. Adjust gains to increase desired bass and clarity. Turn off loud button if you have one, that will distort your deck speakers.

I would also check to see if you have a speaker grounding out on the car chassis. This will make your speakers crackle.

Installing a ptid-8960 power acoustik into my new 2011 mazda 3 what wires should connect or can i even install it without getting the wire harness adapter to make it like the same connections not quite...

You absolutely should use a wire harness for this installation. Not using one would require you to clip the wires to factory radio connector, making re-installation of the factory stereo nearly impossible. Even worse, you would have to wire the connector that came with your PTID-8960 deck to the clipped ends. This task would be nearly impossible, as the factory wiring is too short to extend out of the dashboard where you can work with it easily.

Save yourself the trouble.

I tried finding the exact item you will need, but it seems the Mazda 3 comes with stereo options that could affect which wire harness you'd require.

Here is a link to Crutchfield: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120707904/Mazda-Receiver-Wire-Harness.html?tp=2977&tab=other_items

You can use their site to select your car and installed options, and they will return products compatible with your vehicle.

Will a sony 1000 watt amp model # xm-1652z run 2 dvc 800 watt rms subs?if so,whats the best way to wire them to this amp?thx

personally i wouldnt use a sony amp for powering anything but, however if your going run it what i would recommend is if the speakers are at 4 ohms then run in series per speaker then put the speakers in series as well so you will keep your 4 ohms then run the amp in mono, however just to let you know that amp will not push fubars enough to really make them thump my advice is to goto http://www.sonicelectronix.com  if you have 200 dollars you can get a nice  Hifonics TXi 1508D that will push those monsters quite well thats 1 ohm stable and will barley get warm even after hours of thumpage, also if your running subs monoblocks are the way to go hope this helps you out.

You can Actually get a Single to Double RCA Splitter for this. I think that Wal-Mart Used to Carry them. If not, Any Stereo Install shop has these and will sell them to you. You Might Try Best Buy also. Their Car Audio Install Guys may have one to sell to you.

Have one wire for audio sub out, but two input ports to amp

This one Wire should be for the +. Try connecting the + to the Head Unit and - to a Common Ground. At the Worst, You will Blow the Amp Fuse if not Correct. The Lead from the Head Unit is Only an Off and On from the Ignition. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
