Question about Tomtom ONE GPS Receiver

1 Answer

T.t.1 does't recognize "home" address.

I put in my home address and it registers properly but does"t guide me to my home. It seems to think I live about 25 miles farther than the input home address. Also the road directions does the same.

My e-mail address is not recognized

We will need to know the exact message you receive when you try to log in. Also tell us what program you are using to read your email (Internet Explorer, FireFox, Windows Live Mail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird)

email issues are normally caused by a password issue, and not by the email address or actual account. It could be that your email address has been hijacked and the hijacker changed your password.

I would start by resetting your email password. I can guide you through the process if you tell me who your email provider is (gmail, yahoo, hotmail)

On entering the proper username and password given to me by my provider I still can't get my wireless router to connect to the service. My router is aBelkin54g. Thanks Ivan

I am assuming that you are adding a personal router to a home network that previously consisted only of the provider's modem and your pc. Many routers have an auto-setup routine that they perform to detect your provider's settings. You can try this first. Some providers use the MAC address of your PC to "register" you on thier system. Placing a router in front of your PC will result in the modem not recognizing your system. In this case you must "spoof" the modem into thinking that your router is you PC. Most routers have this ability. If you have you pc hooked to the rouer and your modem hooked to the WAN/INTERNET connection, selecting the "spoof" option will have your router chage its MAC address to match your pc. This fools the provider's modem into thinking your router is actually your pc and will allow the connction. After that you can add whatever you wish to the network. Hope this helps.

I keep getting the following when opening or sending mail: The message could not be sent. The setting for your outgoing email [SMTP] server might need to be configured. To find the server settings for...

Quick summary:
It appears that email address does not exist - which is why your email program was unable to send the message. There may be a small typographical error in the address - which you would need to correct in order to send the message successfully.

Background:
The error message you received says the "domain does not resolve". That means your outgoing server (which is used for sending messages) couldn't find the information about the recipient's address -- and more specifically, the "domain" of the recipient's address. (That's the portion of an email address following the "@" sign.)

The error message indicates the domain of the recipient's address is "quickfireprocuctions.com". But a quick check of domain registration records indicates there is no registered domain by that name. And if a domain is not registered, there can't be any websites or email addresses which use that domain name.

However, there is a properly registered domain "quickfireproductions.com" (with a "d" rather than a "c"). That seems much more likely - as the combination of recognizable words ("quick" "fire" "productions"). That domain is registered to owners in Florida, USA. See details at: http://whois.domaintools.com/quickfireproductions.com

Solution:
If that registered domain name sounds right, then you should revise the email address in your message to use the correct domain name (i.e., replacing the "c" with a "d").

The iPod Touch does not have a GPS unit. It relies upon the names of known wireless access points in the area. They use a 3rd party (company) to keep this database. They may have mapped your wireless in the home to your old address. This, unfortunately, is the best it'll get until they put a GPS in it.

Driver for PD1170 Vista o.s

you will have to register at drivers guide but it's worth it. Here is the page its on. after you register and sign in copy and paste this address in to your address bar and it will bring you to the page i'm looking at. The second and third drivers are vista drivers for creative lab they don't actually say what camera they are for but at this point its worth a chance. Because drivers for some things are far and few between. here is the address

Hard drive

Make sure your hard drive is in all the way. Remove it from the system, and put it in back first and make sure you hear a click. If it's not being recognized, it may be busted. If it doesn't work, try a friend's hard drive on your system. If that isn't recognized either, it's probably your system.

Heres a link to a guide which should guide you step by step to obtaining an "OPEN NAT" status

yeh guide.

otherwise purchase "Compatible Xbox 360 Live " Hardware which will give you a Open NAT

list here

To be honest i think this NAT status is a marketing idea on MS part as NAT is Network address Translation , which is the ability to supply computers on the network a Private IP address using the same Public IP Address , and this sounds like port forwarding, but nonetheless goodluck :)
