Paper Jam in Brother DCP-135C - cannot even see the stuck bit!

I had a paper jam in my printer and when I pulled the paper out it ripped and part of it is still stuck in my printer. It must be about 10x10 cm. Anyway I have looked from all angles and I absolutely cannot see the paper. When I turn my printer on it makes very disturbing sounds and then says paper jam. Please help me!

Repeated paper jam for Brother MFC-J475DW

The sensors that report paper jams often get little pieces of paper stuck inside tripping the sensor when jammed sheet gets pulled out. Powering off and restarting will not help this. You'll need to do a little bit of disassembly looking for loose bits of ripped paper. Maybe use canned compressed air to blow it out first.

I have a DCP-135C Printer. It shows Paper Jam. No paper is jammed. Can you help me please?? Michael .. bigead6151@yahoo.com.au

First of all you must read here and try to remove even any tinyest bit as it may cause problems.
this link has full explaination with screenshots.

if this doesn't help problem lies in the roller itself where some little pieces of paper jammed inside the printer therefore causing it to show that error. Another possibility is that the signal detector near the roller is faulty already.

Dear all here i am anil kumar from india i have MFC brother printer DCP-195C but i have facing problem when i print the page the printer show print unable error 70 please solve my problem thanks...

Error 70 normally is a paper jam or something else that is stopping your print head moving correctly.

Open the covers, have a look, and after clearing the jam you must power off and on the machine.

- Dirty encoder strip

- Foreign object, such as a paper clip or ripped piece of paper is stuck in the machine

- Mechanical malfunction

The most common cause of this issue is dirt on the encoder strip.

How to clear paper jam copier printer

The message Paper Jam may appear on the display if the Brother machine is not feeding paper correctly, paper scraps have become stuck in the print head path, the paper is not loaded properly in the paper tray, the jam clear cover located in the back of the machine, is not installed properly or the PE Actuator is missing or damaged.

To resolve this issue, please follow the steps listed below:

  1. Disconnect the machine from the power supply.
  2. Turn the unit around and remove the Jam Clear Cover from the back of the machine by grasping it at the Center and pulling it straight away from the rear of the machine.
  3. Look for any paper scraps, jammed paper or foreign objects in the rear of the unit. If anything is found, remove it. Be carefull not to touch the feed roller.
3. Remove the paper tray feeder from the front and look inside for bits of paper and check the paper is flat in the tray.

4. Replace tray and back cover and all should be fine.

I have a brother DCP-135C with a printer jam. I followed the instructions in the user guide and believe I have removed all the paper but still get the paper jam message. When I unplug then plug it back in...

for this model, normally the paper is stuck behind., you can open the rear part of the printer and check if there is any paper stuck there.
lift up the scanner unit and switch on the printer, does the sound come from the print head side, it could be due to the print head getting stuck... the encoder belt might be damaged...

Paper jam message brother MFC-440CN

Generally theres still a small piece stuck somewhere. Remove the back where the paper feeds through and check there. Then open the top so you can see the ink head and check around there. That should do it. The printer sometimes wont remove the jam until you open that top lid.
Also try switching it on and off again just to be sure.
If it's still there, the only other way is ripping it apart to find that pesky bit of paper still stuck.
