Car died put a new battery in it did not hold a charge replaced second battery good for a day car is not charging the battery took alternatater out tested good twice battery is still losing charge

Have you checked the positive connection from battery to starter? this connection has another feed that runs the rest of the car. Its either loose or corroded. Take battery terminals off and soak in baking soda, water and 2 drops of dishwashing detergent. If any corrosion is present this mixture will foam and remove your corrosion.
Its odd that car dies Are you sure you do not have a dead cell in the battery?

You may need to have the battery tested. If the battery is no good the alternator won't charge it. Check the belt also, make sure it's sized right and not overly worn or slipping. Hope this helps.

If the engine light is flashing then it has a severe misfire, have the engine light scanned and it will tell you which is the misfiring cylinder/s. I would advise you to replace the spark plugs also
