Microwaves without a turntable

Is there a manufacturer that makes microwaves today WITHOUT a turntable? I find them a nusance and do not want to use them. Just a plain flat unmovable oven floor with a glass tray is what I have always used and much prefer them. White Westinghouse used to make them. Can you help me??

It is very hard to find any quailty microwave made today without a turntable.
You can go to Rite-Aid or Walgreens and find them there without turntables.

When the glass tray turns it makes a noise. When

This problem is commonly attributed to a turntable motor that has worn out and may need to be replaced. The motor is attached to (and is located under) the center plastic piece (called a turntable shaft or coupler) under the middle of the glass tray that you were referring to. The following link explains how to access and replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3555716-replacing_a_turntable_motor_on_a_microwa

This is a very simple repair, that usually is not expensive. The price range will be determined by the model and manufacturer. This repair can also be performed on an over the range model microwave oven WITHOUT uninstalling it.

You can refer to any of the following websites for comparison:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

The first three sites listed offer helpful exploded view diagrams to assist you with locating and properly identifying the part(s) you need. If the model number is correct, the part number for a replacement motor is WB26X10135.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Microwave starts running on it's own

There is a short in the cntrol board. I have seen problems arise like this from mice, spiders and other insects. Power fluctuations can also trick the control into activating. ERIC

Turntables doesn't work and makes horrible noise

Replace turntable motor. Not really that hard to replace or expensive. Remove all screws holding bottom panel (usually three across each side and one to three in front) to gain access to the turntable motor. The panel will hinge in the back.

GE turntable microwave Je1540WW 002 Turntable doesn't turn

I have had the turn table motor go defective in microwave ovens.

Normaly, before ordering a new motor, I always checked to make sure that there was power going to the motor assembly. I never had a power drive failure to a motor so-far. When they did not spin, the motor was defective. But, one day there will be a first time for me.

The fix was to purchase a new motor from the manufacture and install it. In some cases, I had to also replace the spindle key because the original broke when trying to remove it when removing the motor assembly.

I suggest that for servicing a microwave oven, you give it out to a service center to have the work done. There are safety issues when working on microwave ovens.

Many thanks to e3enigma above! I removed the synch motor under the turntable; all other microwave functions work fine and the grinding noise is gone, hooray! A trip to the appliance parts store tomorrow for a replacement synchronous motor and all should be well. Thanks again!
