Not very specific in your statement, so I'll venture a few things to look at.

Check to see that it is getting the correct power (voltage). Could be wired wrong.

Several things could be causing this. If electric, wrong or low voltage. If it is new, just out of the box, then it could have received some shipping damage. Delivery trucks never hit potholes (Ha Ha). A simple wire could be loose or probe knocked out of position.

Something is telling the controls that the desired temp is reached and the unit it cycling off.

This may or may not be a simple fix.

Hello Jim;

My name is Peter. I am a retired Sears Home Services/A&E Factory Service field service appliance technician.

The information in regards to your model number does not match any known range. The model number is on a metal plate on the face of your oven when you open the door.

There are several components that effect the control of your oven temperature.

1.) Is your oven electric or gas?
2.) If electric do you see any sparking on the heating element?
3.) Does your broiler work?

I really do not know what you have. Give me the model number or call me @ 443-306-1362 and I will try to help you.

I have a whirlpool range mod rf368lxpq o replaed probe and panel still very slow to come to temp. pre heat goes to about 200 deg and then veryy slow to come up to temp and hold temp

It sounds like one of the elements are not working. There should be a concealed element in the bottom of the oven and a 'bake assist' element at the top iether seperate from the grill element or as a dual element assembly. Both of these elements should heat on bake function (not the grill element though), check for heat from both by turning bake on and feeling for heat from top and bottom. The oven requires heat from bot to get up to and maintain temp.

Hope this helps

I have a Maytag model MER5775QAW free standing range. When you press "bake" and then set the temp. and press "bake" again the numbers instantly climb to the set temp and the buzzer beeps showing oven at...

Unplug the range open the control panel to access the electronic oven control. Unplug the wires and wait 5 minutes. Replace all wires on the control and turn the power back on.
If this does not reset your oven control it must be replaced.
Your ERC(clock) is bad and must be replaced.

My oven's bake/broil element won't heat

It could be the stat (temp probe) or the cut outs. if these are faulty then it will not allow the elements to heat up

Not familiar with this particular range oven but the thermostat should look like a longinsh cylindrical closed end metalic tube. You may have to raise up the cooking surface to run the wires for a new thermostat. If your oven is cooking to high or too low you can try taking the bake temp control off the know and see if there is a fine adjustement for temperature. I use a temp probe with a very inexpensive Sears DVM (about 20 bucks at Sears) to adjust mine. You should give the oven a good 1/2 hour to heat up and another 1/2 hour between each adjustment. Remember, the oven temp will swing high and low to maintain the set temp. Hope this helps!

After temp is set bottom oven will not heat up to desired temp

you probably have a burnt out or shorted out lower bake element in you r lower oven. it sometimes will actually break apart or look like it sparked thru the black tubular section. it is common and will cause no heat during the bake cycle.
you could try to do a broil and see if it gets hot and that would let you know the control is ok and just needs the lower bake element.

GE Electric Spectra Oven botton element will not heat

If only one element does not work, then test heating element continuity using a multimeter.
If oven does not bake or broil, then test temp probe.
If there is nothing wrong with elements and temp probe , then test wiring harness to control panel and timer control board.
