I have bought this camera from an auction and it did not come with a manual. Also the writing on it appears to be Japanese or Chinese!!! I need to know if I can change the language to English. Any help would be appreciated. Many Thanks

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).
This is a common problem with this Model. In order to get this replaced you will need to send your camera to the fujifilm repair centre. They shall replace all of the part you require. Please browse to the following web address http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/technical/camera_repair/
There should be a little switch on your memory card when you pull it out. Slide the switch the opposite direction. The switch is very small and usually on one of the edges/sides. This is similar to how floppy disks had a write protection on them.
