Have you tried going to support.dell.com and downloading the driver again?? There may be a new driver or at least it could replace the driver that may have become corrupt. You can search their drivers by the service tag that is on your PC tower and it should allow you to select the correct operating system and then choose the correct sound driver. Hope this helps... If not please provide more info
