I have a Eureka 2961 avz bagless vacuum with no sucktion

I have a Eureka 2961 avz bagless vacuum with close to no sucktion. I have replaced all of the filters, checked the hose, made sure that every visible tube is clear, took out the little cap looking thing inside of the vacuum, checked the belt and around that area and I still cannot figure out what the issue it. I'm so frustrated with this vacuum that I'm about to start taking it completely apart. This vacuum has done nothing but clogged on us since we have had it. It's a terrible vacuum.

I would recommend either replacing the main suction motor or replacing the vacuum cleaner all together. Eureka makes a cheap vacuum. You should consider upgrading to a better brand such as electrolux or hoover.

Replace belt for eureka model no. 3276 avz . we have the belt for it. we want to put the belt on.

The link below will take you to the owner's manual for your specified vacuum model. Page 4 describes assembly guidelines for replacing the belt. The heading for the page is called "How to Maintain Your Vacuum Cleaner." Pictures are also included in the guide. Hope this helps.

I lost my instruction book how to take filters a part and it wont pick up so i need the instruction book. could you please send me the book. thank you.

This URL provides an exploded view of the unit, I will continue to search to see if I can find a free owners manual. This shows a BVZ as opposed to a AVZ, but I thought it would be close enough to be of help to you.

Eureka bagless model 2961 partswere do i get them

It depends on the parts you are looking for. If you go to your local vacuum repair shop they might have parts for your model. If not then there are parts available on Eureka's website. If you need replacement belts for your model you can get them here:

The handle for my Eureka 5893 AVZ was getting very hot. Finally, the wires around the switch melted and the vacuum will not work. What is wrong? Is the switch bad? Nothing else appears to be wrong.

usually if a connection gets hot enough to start melting it is usually a loose connection or high current. more than likely the switch is bad if you replace it with the same type of switch and it gets hot check the motor. make sure it is clean and isn't jammed

My vacuum (Eureka Bagless Model 2961 AVZ) will not START!

Had exactly the same problem with my upright Eureka Model 5893 bagless. Eventually, the handle would get hot, and finally it just quit. When handle was disassembled, the wires were melted and it was toast. Ordered a switch after talking to several repair men. Talked to Eureka, too, and they were absolutely no help. Cheap wiring and switch made in China. Good luck trying to find a switch. vacuum-depot.com has switches, so you might try there, but make sure you get the 3-prong switch (same switch used on Eureka's Genesis). It is Part #27871.

Smoking belt

Belt is slipping because the bearings on the beater brushes, which it turns, are jammed or full of dust.
Alternatively the belt has stretched after being overheated and needs replacing because it now slips.
