I am sure all packing is of and the end nipple is off.Of course there could be some damage on the inside I cannot see.But really thought I was being extra careful.I know the color conductor has a place to depress in order to get it out.None that I could tell on the black.Thank You

My Ricoh Aficio CL2000N is printing several faint lines

Couple possibilities:
Fuser hot belt has wear lines transfering to the page
Black pcu needs to be replaced
Transfer unit is not being cleaned properly and needs to be replaced.
Remove each of these assy and inspect them for wear or lines that corespond to the lines on your prints.

Page 5 of the PDF manual talks about the black photo conductor and where its located at.

Error code sc440

Black drum motor error. These machines are bad about the waste toner building up in the drum unit. You could try and take the auger out of the drum unit(very messy) and clean it out or try replacing the black pcu.

Printing B&W? Colour? or both?
Depending on your answer, replace the applicable Photoconductor.

You may have to replace the transfer belt or the drum. I would start with the drum first

Seems to print a red or yellow line down the edge about 1 to 2mm wide, prints black fine. All toners over half full. Test page seems fine but can see red line along edge.

What ever color the line is you need to replace that photoconductor unit. They can be ordered from a Ricoh dealer and come with instructions for installing.

Faint Black Lines

Hi best way to check is to remove the black photoconductor and you should be able to see the little lines on it also check the the black dev/toner unit for the lines. most likely to be the black photoconductor unit though.

Thanks J
