This is so annoying!  We just bought this washer last Spring.  I can't do one load without having to keep running back and forth to the washer to get it to go again.  I usually move the clothes around a bit with my hands.  Then it works for another 10 minutes! Aaaagh!!!

  • Toto21 Feb 15, 2009

With every load I have to run to the washer and move around the clothes in the washer.  Then after about 10 minutes it beeps again!

This is a common and very well known problem with the Oasis. You will need to replace the operator interface board inside the control panel to resolve this issue. The board is located directly behind the control knob. If you post back with your model number, I can research a part number for you, give you info on where you can order a replacement, and give you guidance on how to replace the board yourself.

Thanks for the reply. You can order the part on line at Just type in oyur model number and look for item 7 under the "Control Panel Parts" heading. The part number is 8564392. carries this same part for only $124, but I could not find your model number on their website. a search by part number (using the part number provided) and you will find what you need for a little less. The reason I still reference the first website is because the drawings may come in handy to you.

To replace the user interface board, follow these steps:

    1. Unplug the washer.

    2. Locate and remove the retaining screws in the back of the control panel. With the screws removed, the control panel will lift from the back first, then off. NOTE: Be careful when lifting the panel, there is a small interface cable plugged into the control board.

    3. Remove the interface connector and pull the control knob off.

    4. Lay entire panel face down on a soft surface (such as some folded towels).

    5. Remove the user interface cover (this is item 10 if you use the drawings in the Sears website).

    6. With the cover removed, take a small flat blade screwdriver and pry back the tabs that hold the board in place. There will be several around the entire perimeter.

    7. Once the old board is removed, carefully insert the new control board making sure you don't put it in upside down. Mark the location of the interface connector plug as a reference. NOTE: Do not handle the surface area of the board with your hands. This can cause damage to small components of the board and render it unusable. Hold the board by the edges.

    8. Reinsert the interface cover and flip the control panel over to its upright position.

    9. Reinstall the control knob and make sure you plug the interface connector back in.

    10. Reinstall control panel by inserting the front edge of the panel into the grooves on the washer top casing and lower it back. Tighten all mounting screws.

This is a pretty simple repair job. The hardest part you may encounter is removing the old board. The small tabs can be difficult to bend sometimes. Also, use care not to apply too much pressure on the new board when you install it. They can be difficult to snap back into place at times. Just take your time.

If you have questions along the way, please let me know. I hope this corrects your problem.

PS You may also try unplugging the washer and removing the control panel and try cleaning the interface connector to see if this helps BEFORE you order parts. Sometimes it does.

3 lights and loud beeping

When you start your machine is the water just go stop go stop,
Just wait for the machine to display an error code on the wash progress lights and beeps constantly.
It could be the Rotor Position Sensor, out of balance switch or lid magnetic reed switch.
Your error code will determine this.
Is your machine beeping & showing a weird pattern of lights on the wash cycle, It is displaying an error code,
To read this error code you start at the red spin light & work to the left only add up the lights that are on. Red spin light = 1 2nd rinse light =2 1st rinse light =4 last wash light=8 4th wash light=16 3rd wash light=32 2nd wash light=64 1st wash light=128

How do I turn off the beepers on my Bosch washer

To turn the beep off (or volume down) on the Exxcel 7 (BOSCH WAE24468GB you do the following:
1. Turn setting dial to off. 2. Turn dial one step clockwise (wait for panel to light) 3. Keep finger on 'RPM' button and turn dial another step clockwise and release finger. 4. The default setting of '2' should appear on the display, this represents the Button Signal Volume 5. Pressing 'Ready in' button cycles through the volume settings from 0 (off) to 4 (very loud!). 6. Turn dial another step clockwise to set the 'Information Signal Volume', which is also set to '2' by default. This is the one that annoys everyone at the end of the cycle!
All the manuals are on the Bosch website, if you know the model code.

Very annoying beep when finished programme

When the machine is on, but not running, press and hold the "pre-wash" button. After a few seconds it will begin that beep noise, keep holding it in until the beep volume goes down and finally stops completely (5-10 secs). Once the beep has stopped, release the button and voila, no more annoying beeps at the end of your cycle.

To restore the end of cycle notification (beep) do the same thing as described above, but release the button earlier while the beep is still going.

Cycle Signal beeping constantly

Hello dtaylorws,

You said,The cycle signal keeps alternating between loud and soft on its own and the other buttons will not function while this is happening, including the start button.

You could have a bed signal switch or control panel .
if the below suggestion failes or the problem returns you will need service!
Try unplugging the washer for 5 minutes and then restart it.
This should reset the system if there is a glitch like in a computer!
Sounds like we need to try to reset the system!

Huuum At your service!
Lets try this,
Like with an error code.
This can reset the system if it is electronic!
Unplug the washer and wait a 5 minutes then restart it.
If you can't reach the plug, use the breaker to cut the power for 5 minutes.

It's like rebooting your computer when its acting strange!
Usually it corrects some error problems if they are not serious.
Or they are sometimes just a glitch.

Let me know how it works! Waiting for your reply!
Please remember to leave a rating when you are done!
Thank You huuum
