Unable to Calibrate: Dell E153FPT

I started having issues with this monitor (Touch Screen) a few days ago basically I can not calibrate it.  when I do the calibration, it shows a message after the last touch that says TOUCH out of range.  Error Calibrating I downgraded the driver to previous version and still the same issue upgrade the driver again and no solution
I did a linear calibration and at each sigle touch, it would show an errors. and when finished still the mouse doesn't show where you put your finger.
Any ideas/?

CHECK THE DRIVERS OF THE MONITOR, TRY TO UPDATE THE DRIVES
RESETING THE REFRESH RATE LOWER THAN IT IS NOW
IS THE RESET BUTTON THAT WILL SET THE MONITOR BACK THE THE MANUFACTURE ORIGNAL SETTING,

THAT MITE AN OPTION ON THE COMPUTER ITSELF, SHORTING OUT THE BOIS ON THE MOTHERBOARD BUT WHEN YOU DO THAT YOU CLEAR EVERYTHING ELSE LIKE HD,KB,MOUSE, CDROD,DVD,FLOPPIES, MONITOR SETTING,

Does not work on the edges, can not access start by touching. when the screen is touched the arrow appears about half an inch away

Sounds like the calibration for the touchscreen needs to be reset. If you check in the control panel, there should be a ELO shortcut that allows you to calibrate/test the touchscreen. Try running through the calibration and see if the touchscreen behavior improves. If the calibration doesn't fix it, then you may have an issue with the touchscreen itself.

Jumpy monitor

I have had the same problem with my dell touchscreen. This problem seems to happen with the newer driver software. I reinstalled the older 5.64 driver and actively touch the screen at start-up when I enter the windows password and it seems to work fine.

Calibration of monitor

Here's the tip I used years ago on CRT's suffering this same fate.

Take one of your printed photo's and hold it next to the screen (with the same photo on it running in whatever software you want to print from)
Now using the monitors controls, make the monitor look like your photo that you have printed.
Nice and dark now like the photo, good =)
Now adjust the software to what you want it to look like when printed.
Looking good so far..ok
Save those settings in the program. then re adjust the monitor back to how you want it to look normally (as it was before basically)

Not the ideal soloution, but it works and it's free.
