Try reloading driver and check to make sure the scan lock isnt on

I have never scanned a document before. How do I do it? I press scan and nothing at all happens


Hi Briggs,
Firstly make sure HP Photosmart 3.5 is installed: The link the manufacturer is here: http://www.hp.com/united-states/consumer/digital_photography/free/software/index_ww_eng.html
After Install: 1: Open HP photosmart .
2: Click "Get images."
3: Choose "From Scanner."
4:. Select your scanner.
5: Choose your prefered settings for the scan. (e.g black and white, size.. etc)
6: Then click Scan.

It will be scanned to WIN XP: Desktop or WIN 7: Libraries\Documents VISTA:My Documents.

Cannot connect 1350 printer with windows 7


The printer PSC 1350 is not compatible with Windows 7.

We can directly plug and play it to use the Printing Part.
And in order to scan, only way to do is through Windows Application.

There are different softwares and ways to scan, use as per your choice.

When you scan something, the printer makes it's own folder that goes into My Documents. It will be in My Documents or My Pictures in it's own folder called Scans. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Scanning a document to edit the text.


you need a program to recognize the characters in the image to be edited. try checking this list of OCR programs...but i think those are trial versions only.

Introduction A full feature software and driver package for Windows Vista is not available for your product. However, the Windows Vista operating system installed on your computer contains a basic driver solution for your product. Installing the printer driver When you connect the product to the computer, Windows Vista detects the hardware and automatically installs the correct driver. A notification lets you know when installation begins and when it is complete. You do not have to download any software or insert the product CD.
  1. Turn the product on.
  2. Connect the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable to the printer and to the computer.
