Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

My printer has stopped printing.

I have a Pixma ip 1600 printer which has stopped printing. When I ask for a copy all I get is a sheet of blank paper -- nothing on it at all. What is causing that failure, and how can I fix it? I have tried to ask for help, but I get no answers or sggestions. What can I do now?

It sounds like the print head has been damaged or the ink is dried or clogged. Try to run a few cleaning cycles if it doesnt clear up i would suggest it being a print head issue

Was the green paper the type kids use in school. When my kids were little we called it contruction paper. If this is the case, your printer is smart enough to know that this paper is thicker than normal. It's responding as it should. Next time you want to print on this type of paper - select this in your printer's software control panel.

When i print the ink is so light it looks like a blank sheet

get some paper towels and boil some water put in in an old coffee cup. hold the ink cartridges over the water (not in) the steam will clean out the nozzles on the cartridges. the ink will run a lil bit (hence the paper towels) give the printing a go again.

    hope this helps..

How to photocopy double sided A4 sheets?

    Hi,

you copy first side normaly. then on left side open bypass deck.Put the paper, so that the side on wich you want to print is down. Automatically when you put paper in bypass, the machine ask you wich format is it ( eg. A4 ), confirm with OK, then you need to tell machine wich type of paper ( eg. plain paper ) and OK. then green copy key.

The printer is printing blank sheet

    Hello Shirelle,

Make sure there is nothing covering the jets on the cartridge. Also how long has it been laying around? it might have dried out, and/or expired. On new printers the cartridges have expirations and it will not use them after a certain amount of time. Also try a printer self cleaning and see if that does anything. If none of that works, it might be the printer. - Vincent
