Its not a problem you can easily fix. Many Mits TVs of the mid-90's had a PIP board in them that had dried up surface mount capacitors on them. The board would have to be either re-built or replaced at a considerable cost.

amlupo,

If the picture is good and you use Comcast as your cable supplier I believe that your Comcast converter box is bad. This is a very common problem and an easy one to fix. Call Comcast and tell them the problem and they should replace the box for free.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating.

My picture getting dark red and moving slowly to the left. My manual is missing and I can't remember what to do.

Ok I have found you a user manual. http://www.retrevo.com/support/Mitsubishi-WS-65511-TVs-manual/id/276ci860/t/2/

Below is the service manual. http://www.eserviceinfo.com/index.php?what=search2
I cannot be sure, if that is something that simply needs resetting or some problem. However I suspect that there may be a problem with the Color Wheel or Alignment. Of course it may be a filter. have a look through the service manual and run through the set up again. This may fix the problem. But I wonder if it will be that simple, we can only hope.

Mitsubishi WS 55413. Ongoing rolling screen.

First check for the coolant/fluid leakage from the picture tube on to the signal board. Wipe it with paper towel and dry it will the hair dryer. I hope there's no corrosion yet.

My picture looks like it has a roll in it i can hit the tv a clears up for about 30 secs

It sounds like you have an intermittent connection or defective component in the vertical oscillator circuit. Not a DYI fix. Get a repair estimate from a qualified service tech before you over spend on a repair.

You need to replace the 100uf capacitors on the DM board. Its a relatively easy repair, However I would recomend getting the service manual so you can see how to get the DM out . I will post a link to the other sire I work at as a support tech. they have the manual for sale and they provide free tech support for anyone that buys the service manual which they email you and the support techs have illustrated examples on how to do the repair step by step that they can send you for support. heres the link in case you want to fix it yourself.

Try using a DVD though the component input (need a 480P out ). If the pix si ok I wouldsuspect the cable box. If the problem is still there I would suspect a video switching IC or a Leaky regulator.
