I forgot to charge my Ipaq Pocket PC (It's an old model from 2002) and it run out of battery. Now every time I try to turn it on it stays on that red screen that says "align screen". I reset it several times but it doesn't work.
Do you have any idea what's wrong??
iPAQ 3900 won't go past the " Tap the screen to set up your Pocket PC". Tapping does nothing. I can activesyn though. Got any tricks?

I suggest to you to buy a new battery for you HP iPAQ H4150 Pocket PC and see if that charger will charge it up. If the new battery does charge then the problem was with the old battery.
If it doesn't charge up on the new battery then, your problem lies with the battery charger. You should check that the voltage of the battery charger is compatible to charge the voltage of the battery.
Try A replacement Battery first to fix the charge up problem. Particularly if the battery is more than 2 years old.Check in your manual in case the pocket pc has a secondary Li-ion, NiMh or nICD Button size battery( to retain real time clock nd important info). Not sure of your model, but I've heard of a pocket pc with a similar problem that fixed it.
If you are saying it heats up the it sounds to me like the battery is not holding a charge anymore.
Try to remove the batter and place the pocket pc in its cradle and turn it on if it works then you can be sure it's the battery.
You can probably pick up a batery on Ebay real cheap. Or swing by your local BatteryPlus store and they can test the old battery and probably buy a new one in the store.
I hope this helps
Have a great day.
