When TV is first turned on it clicks on and off several times .

We have a Samsung LCD TV purchased in Dec. of 2007. Mo #LNT4061F. When we turn on the TV it turns on and off many times before we finally get a picture. We are allso getting green lines and pink dots on the screen.I am concerned because when I go to web sights I find that my problem is not unique to me. The set has bad capacitors on the power supply board. The tops of the capacitors will be domed/swollen. Replacing the capacitors will fix the problem.

In most cases it is the capacitors in he power supply section that have gone out.

Common symtoms are
-shuts down
-takes a long time to come on
-relay clicks
-dead set

You can get capacitors online or you can get a complete kit with instructions and support from www.TvRepairKits.com . Its a failry easy DIY fix.

Turn on tv and purple pixels like snow are spread around tv

Write down your serial # (found on the back or on the side) and your model # and call 800-Samsung. The issue has to do with the capacitors and if your TV was manufactured between Dec 2007 and May 2008 they will send a repairman out to repair for free (one time only). I just called and they are sending someone out to repair mine. Apparently there are tons of people experience the same problem.

When I turn on my tv it clicks several times Samsung 52" LCD HD T

It sounds like the tuning unit maybe nearing it's end and this could be costly and a new unit maybe better and more cost effective in the long run.

Save money and time and consult with known stores that sell alot of TV units.
Ask them about their prices, warranty, polices on (out of box TV units).
I speak from experience on purchasing some of these fine units which has worked out for me in the pass.

I hope this helps.

Samsung model LNS4051DX/XAA won't turn on, just clicks

THE PROBLEM IS Faulty parts on PS board , bad press for Samsung

Because the Samsung LNS4051D would not turn on and the power LED would blink 4 times and the relay would click and this would repeat again and again. I replaced power supply board parts CM806, 811, 812 & 817, all 1000 uf 10v capacitors, three had their tops bulged up slightly that I missed on initial visual inspection. After seeing the reports of problems with these caps on http://www.fixya.com/support/t1336881-will_not_turn_or_off , I replaced them with Radio Shack part 272-1032, 1000 uf, 35v. They are slightly bigger, but fit OK. TV is working fine now. Cost was 4 x $1.59 = $6.36 plus the time. I saved between $100 to 300 in the process of either replacing the board or getting the unit serviced.

Samsung LCD TV Image Retention...I Think

I have not noticed that with my set, Sony Bravia 2007 1080I.

Uh, I have a bigger problem though...

I had just paused my live tv for about 40 minutes on abaseball game and now I have green burn in.
I'm in the middle of searching the net for solutions. I have tried:

pure white screen for 30 minutes (no change)
"fuzz" for 1 hour (no change)
turn TV off for 12 hours (no change)
I'll now try to power down fully for 12 hours and see what happens.
