Hi all,
I've got a problem with a Tatung CM14SBR SVGA monitor, it basically being
the lack of red output from the picture tube. I was hoping that someone
here would be able to supply me with a circuit schematic for this particular
monitor. Also, any ideas on how to fix this problem would be greatly
appreciaited, as the Tatung support would only help me if I gave them a FCC
number, and in Australia, nothing has FCC.
Many thanks,

In article <6m06oa$ For such a problem you don't need a schematic.
If there is no red at all, probably you can't recover it with pot adjustment.
First check the video connector. (Pin 1 for the red channel)
Then, check the cable (check the Red on the input of the video board)
Then check on the cathode of the CRT. (generaly marked with a R).If the signal
is there, the CRT connector or the CRT itself is bad.
Then , follow the RED path for bad soldering.
If it doen't help you, you need a pro.
Greetings
Yves

In most TV's there is a screen or blanking adjustments and drive adjustments
for the guns. Make it do a black and white picture and first see if the
picture is actualy in black and white. Use the drive adjustments to get the
whites correct, and the blanking bias adjustments to make the dark greys
correct.
If you are not used to this, it is better to let a pro do it for you. These
adjustments are in areas that drive the CRT and the voltages here are not
forgiving if you touch something. If you accidently make a short or
transient you can damage the driver transistor or IC's...
