Question about LG LMV1630ST Microwave Oven
I have a LG microwave LMV1630ST and I've only had it for 17 months, and only half of the key pad works. It cocks and everything else works except parts of the key pad won't. Of course it is right after the warranty is up but not by much. please help
The keypad may be
damaged or worn out, or control unit may be damaged.
Is it possible that some spray cleaner accidentally got into the controls?
Direct spraying of cleaners on the keypad can damage the controls.
I always recommend that you spray non-ammonia cleaner on a soft cloth (not a paper towel which can scratch) and gently wipe the keypad.
If it is wet and does not dry out over time, it may need to be manually dried or blown out.

If you have a failed membrane keypad (which I suspect) the quickest and easiest way to repair it is to replace the plastic control panel frame which keypad as an assembly.
It is part # 478181A001A "Controller Assembly, sub" which runs $44.13 plus shipping Encompass or you can call them toll-free at 866-779-5835.
In this case, you simply move your circuit board into the new frame.
