Question about JVC KD-G230 CD Player

1 Answer

Repeatedly flashing on and off

I have had the cd player working for the last few days, and because I don't want it stolen, I take the faceplate off. I put the faceplate on the other night, and when I started my car it just started flashing on and off. No one seems to know what the problem could be. Please help.

I tried the battery thing, and it was still flashing, so I broke down and took it in, the unit is fried! But I just have to find the receipt and they will replace it for free.

The only thing I can recommend is for you to look up the user's manual. If you lost it, I am sure you can get it off the manufactur's website. Another thing to do unplug your car's battery for about 3 min. this will reset everything.

You can buy one off Ebay for around $30. Here's a link to one seller that sells it cheaper, but if you look it up there are a few others: http://cgi.ebay.com/SONY-CDX-L410X-FACEPLATE-/130502103957?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e62881395

The faceplate for my Dual XDM6825 Car CD Player was stolen out of my car. I've searched for replacements on Ebay and Amazon, and well as extensive searches through various search engines. Nothing is...

hi i am afraid so, the reason you are not able to find one is because of theft, if someone was to steal your system from your vehicle, and just go buy a new head for the system it would be pointless being able to remove the faceplate's in the first place, i think the only way you might find one will be if someone has got a broken chassis but has a good faceplate, sorry but that is probably the only reason why you cant find one...hope this helps

Stolen faceplate

the GT-200 is the cheapest of the sony line. A new radio can be obtained for under $50. A faceplate direct from sony would be approximately the same amount. Check eBay or Craigslist for a used one.

mine was stolen too. I thin you need to contact the seller or manufacturer to find out. If it is the same model number as it is on the main cd player part then I think it can work. But suggest you to contact the manufacturer.

Faceplate not responding / acting very weirdly

Sounds like a bad connection with the faceplate and the multi connector that the faceplate mates with when closed. check for dirt and bent pins on both connectors. Luck
