Here are a few suggestions,

*Check your connections to make sure none are loose.

*Try checking the Dish box to make sure everything that should be turned on is actually on.

*Also make sure channel 3 is the correct channel by contacting your service provider.

Second level tv has a signal but the main tv on first floor has no signal.

Hello! It sounds like there are a few things that could actually be going on. If you are getting no picture on the TV(you have a black, blue, or snowy screen), you will want to make sure that the TV is on the correct channel and/or input. You will want to be on channel 3 or 4, and possibly on a Video 1 or 2 or HDMI 1 or 2 input. If that doesn't work, then try unplugging the receiver from the power source for about 10 seconds. If you are still not getting a picture, let me know!

If you have a signal loss message on your screen (Signal has been lost, Partial SIgnal loss, COmplete signal loss, or Acquiring signal), you will first want to unplug the receiver from the power source for 10 seconds. You will get the Acquiring singla message as the receiver reboots after you plug it in, but that should only be about 5 minutes at the most. If you get the message after 5 minutes, you will want to make sure that all of the cables going from the back of the receiver to the wall are tight. If that still doesn't do it, please let me know!

I have Dish 322 receiver. Everything was fine; a week or so ago satellite 119 reception was spotty, now we can't get 119 at all. We get 110 but only about 34%. Sometimes the receiver will power itself off...

It looks like you have lost the signal for the 119 satellite from your dish. Are you getting an error message, either 002 or 015, saying the satellite signal has been lost or acquiring satellite signal? First, check the cables on the back of the receiver to make sure they are secure. You can also run a check switch test to see if there is a problem between your dish and receiver.

Press the Menu button on your remote. This will bring up the Main Menu on your TV screen. Input the numbers: 6 (System Setup), 1 (Installation), and 1 (Point Dish). On the right side of the Point Dish screen are 3 buttons. Select the Check Switch button. Within the 2 large boxes are satellite numbers and green or red boxes. Make a note of the satellite numbers (should be 119, 110), the trans, the device, and switch. Super dish and alternate should not be checked. Select the Test button on the bottom of the screen. If a box pops up with a warning about TV 2, select Yes. It will now run the check switch test. Let it complete the test. After completion, the screen will automatically go back to the Installation Summary screen. You may get a message stating that the Check Switch test has found fewer satellites than previously detected. If you get this message cancel out of each screen (do not save the results) till you are back to the TV screen and it is acquiring Satellite signal.

If you don't get that error message, see if the information on the Installation Summary has changed. Then select Done on the next 2 screens and cancel out of the others till you get the message, Acquiring Satellite Signal. After it finishes acquiring satellite signal and downloads the program guide, see if you are getting a picture - try different channels. If you still have problems, please email me at, ray.calo@dishnetwork.com. If you are still experiencing problems, we will need to send a technician to fix the problem.

Trying to setup tv 2, just upgraded the tv from an old school analog set to a brand new phillips 40pfl3705d/f7. can't get a signal on the tv and have tried both "air" and "cable"...

Hi carltonmarcumy name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and for the TV2 you want the Modularset to cable and channel 73, and then make sure the TV itself is set to channel73. After you have the modular set to channel 73 and the TV set to channel 73and you do not see a DISH Network picture you will then make sure theconnections from the wall to the TV are tight as well as from the receiver tothe wall. Then you will want to unplug the receiver for 10 seconds and plug itback in it will power up and acquire the signal and once you see that check TV2and you should see the same thing on the screen. I will send a link that will helpout with these steps. http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/black-blue-tv2

Tv screen just says searching for a signal the DVR sounds like it is running

Hi, my name is Cheri Torres with DISH Network CustomerService. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. I do have afew questions I would like to ask you just to get a better idea of what issueyour receiver may be having. I would first like to know if your receiver hasany lights on the front of it. If the receiver does not have any lights on thefront you are going to want to try unplugging the receiver from the powersource outlet for 10 seconds then plug it back in. Does your screen havinganything else on it besides searching for signal? Usually if it is a DISHNetwork error message you will see a three digit number in the top rightcorner. It could possibly be that your television is not on the correct channelor input in order to get the DISH Network picture. You can try changing your TVto channel 3/4 and also try going through all available inputs to see if youmight see a picture on a different one. I would appreciate it if you couldemail me at Cheri.Torres@Dishnetwork.com with all the answers to the questionsand your account information (i.e. account number, phone number and name on theaccount) and I will be happy to assist you further. :)

I have a blue screen with a no signal on my tv with dish network how do i fix this

Hi. This is Phil with DISH Network. Sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the video, lets get that fixed. There are some thing we want to check first. Let's first make sure that both the TV, receiver, and everything in between, are powered on. Then we want to find out which channel your TV is on, this can be done by turning the TV off then back on again. If your TV is connected by a coax cable, for receivers with a TV1 output on the back panel: Tune TV to channel 3 or channel 4 so that picture appears. For receivers with a Home Distribution output on the back panel (the TV without the receiver by it, or TV2) tune TV to channel 62 or 75. If non-coax, cycle through TV inputs until picture appears. These steps usually fix that issue; if they don't then check that the connections between your DISH receiver, your TV, and any component(s) (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) in between are secure. If the issue is only on one receiver, unplug the receiver for 10 seconds and plug back in, wait for the receiver to turn on by itself, usually withing 5 mins, and the picture should come in after that. If you have any follow up questions let me know.

Was working, then after power back up TV1 is all distorder and fuzzy, TV2 has no signal.

dberan133,

Are you still having problems with your receiver? Are the green, amber, and blue lights lit on the receiver box? If the lights are lit, TV 1, depending on the TV, would be on channel 3/4 or an input setting. TV 2 would be on channel 60 or 73.

Hi mfpayton with the install of the brand new receiver wealways want to make sure all connections are tight. And after all connectionsare hand tight we will need to run the Check Switch Test. It will provide thestrongest signal to your home and you will see the signal move up into the 65percent range. If after the Check Switch Test it still is a low signal we mayneed to check the connections from the Dish and LNB that is an issue we wouldneed to come out on. I will leave the link to show you how to do the CST.http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/complete-sig-loss

One T.V. snowy on Sat., clear on local channels, others are fine?

if you recently got dishnetwork call the company that installed the system for a repair person, they HAVE to fix it. if you put it in yourself it sounds like the lnb is bad or the dishnetwork splitter is bad or not hooked up right. this kind of problem is a reminder that paying an extra $5 a month for service warranty is a good deal. if something is wrong with anything then, a phone call to dishnetwork will get new equipment sent to you or a service tech sent to fix it. i don't presently work for dish or direct or a cable co but i know that's how things work.

No dishnetwork signal

OK here we go .the most common problem with dish network and directv is that any cable connections you have that are on the outside of the house are a HUGE weak point in the system.what you want to do is go outside and locate the dish once you have start following the cables until you find any of these cable connections or splices.once you have located them get a 7/16 wrench and remove the cable ..What your are looking for is corrosion in the cable connection.it will look like rust. What happens is your dish system sends 13 and 18 volts down the line to switch channels. When any water gets in these connections it will start to short the connection BUT,you will still get TV for a long while eventually this small short will start to damage the cable connection and you will lose signal all together.make sure to check all of these OUTSIDE connections.Once you find one that is bad you can go to radioshack and buy a cable prep tool that STRIPS the coax"COAX STRIPPERS" to its correct lengths.simply cut off the old connector and replace it.There is a GREAT tutorial at satellitescoop.com that shows you how to do this the right way for under 10 dollars make sure to follow the directions on that site and you should be watching TV in no time.
