Avaya 8434DX Display won't show date and time as normal display

I would like to be able to glance at my phone and see date and time on display, but display always remains blank and I have to hit a button to see date and time. Can't it be programmed to be the normal display option?

You should be able to hit the Menu button, then the arrow directly below the TmDay display and then hit exit once the date and time are displayed. The date should disappear but the time should stay.

I can't get the time to stay displayed on the screen. I hit the menu button, then the TmDay button, then exit, but both the time and date disappear. I want the time to stay displayed.

Its on a toggle switch. So hit menu, select time and day, do not hit exit, wait.
If it goes away, you just shut it off do this again, and it should stay on.

How to change the date format?

I always can usually crack most "menus" by pressing and holding down any control button for more than 10 seconds. It is worth a try. As you mentioned after doing that hold eah button and hit all control buttons one at a time if your phone needs two buttons to be pushed. Up and Down is usually "star" or "Pound". Its worth a try.

How do I set or change time on display

C'mon. Seriously. Have you heard of Google?
Go to Google, and type in, meridian m7310 phone setting time date.
Too hard?
Here's a link then: http://www.alphatelecom.ca/norstar_date_time_program.htm
Still too hard?
Then it's,
1. feature **8463 (as in "time")
2. password 23646 (as in "admin")
3. hit "change" or "next" and change time components as needed until it displays "end of list"
4. hit "rls" button

Hope that helps. (~face palm~)

Making the date and time show after the phone rings.

Sounds like you have several issues here...Time & date is set by entering the DB Administrator, then using the code 08-14. Feature69 defaults a set, not the time. The incoming display is normal, as you are a member of the first UCD group. When you pick up the phone, it shows ICM because you are in intercom mode. There are 3 different ITCM modes: green, red, blank. Your extension button lights red because it's an indicator that you are on the phone.
