When trying to print, it refuses saying "error number 300"It's not opening the printer connection, even though everything is properly connected. I've already had that problem before, but by switching off the printer and restarting it, it worked. Now this trick does not do it anymore!
B300 code. Won't print. I have a Canon MX7600. It's already been fixed for this under warranty. Now, a month later, it's doing it again. I used to be able to print two copies of something before this error kicked in. I would turn the printer off, wait, turn it back on. Now I can't print anything.

Hi Daniel, I just had a quick look and other people here have posted problems regarding error code 300 on the MX850. Take a look here when you get a minute to see if any of the solutions posted help you out at all. It's a long shot as this link is for Apple users but it might point you in a direction you hadn't yet tried. All the best.
I did manage to solve the problem in the end. As it seemed to be a communication problem, I restarted my Mac (as opposed to switching off the printer and on again) and it worked!!
Might need you some time in the future though....
1. First, clean your printer. Get some spray-n-wipe cleaner and a clean cloth and clean the entire inside of the printer. Also ensure your paper isn't dirty. Now print a test page. Does the symptom persist? 2. Remove all jammed paper. Check the paper tray first. Look closely at the paper rollers nearest where the paper exits the printer; this is a common source of jams. If you’re trying to print labels, they will often jam just before exiting the printer. 3. Try to print a test page. Does the printer still jam? If you can find no source of the jamming, check the printer's message display window and refer to your user’s manual to look up the printer error code.
whats your printer model?clean the catridge contacts and the print head insert it again properly then switch off and on,do a hard reset from the menu button ,and make sure your using a genuine catridge most especially if your printer is hp product.that should work
Disconnect and switch off printer from pc's usb port.
Go to add/remove programmes and uninstall printer software and drivers.
Go to printer and faxes folder or go through control panel and ensure the pixma printer is deleted, if not right click and delete.
Re-start pc and install drivers from your printers cd rom and re connect printer when prompted and not before (if no prompt when software finishes connect printer).
Your pc should then idenitify your printer and auto install drivers.
If the same error occurs, it's more than likely a hardware failure, and requires replacing.
