If the iPod is showing the "Sad iPod face" icon, this means that the hard drive inside the iPod is dead and needs to be replaced.

If the iPod is showing the "Folder/Exclamation Point" icon, this means that the logic board (the circuit board) inside the iPod is no longer working properly and needs to be replaced in order for the iPod to work.

Restore factory settings to the ipod, this will clear all your songs. before this you may want to try and hold the center button and play for a couple of seconds, about 6, and then let go and try again untill the ipod reboots.

How do i get to the menu for the first time brand new on my ipod touch 8g. thers a picture saying plug the usb into the itunes?

What you will need to do is download itunes (if you don't have it already) from the apple website at www.apple.com/itunes once installed open it up and then plug in your ipod into the computer using your usb cable. It may be a case that you will need to charge the ipod before you can use it. Once it is charged you will be able to use itunes to synch your music and other stuff from your computer to your ipod.

The apple site also has ipod manuals on it that would probably be a good thing to download they are available at http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipod

Hope this helps.

I keep putting songs on my ipod and the computer says that it has been downloaded but when i get on my ipod it dosent show up some people are saying it needs to be synchorized but i dont know how to do...

use itunes to put the songs on your ipod it freely downloadable at the apple website at

www.apple.com/itunes

Once installed it will ask you if you want to put any mp3s on itunes once they are there you can then drag songs onto your ipod once connected by your usb cable. Or use ipod panel to synch songs from there.

Hope this helps

Ipod saying disables. connect to itunes

Use the Five Rs to restore the iPod. You will lose the data that is currently on it if you restore but you can always re-sync the data to the iPod. http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/

My ipod says www.apple.com/support/ipod EVEY TIME I TURN IT ON IT WILL TH APPLE THE A X SAYING TO GO TO APPLE/SUPPORT/IPOD

Hold the iPod to your ear and try to listen to the hard drive sound when you turn it on. If it doesn't sound like the HDD is spinning or you even get a sound from the motor that indicated the disc may be stuck your hard drive is history. If not you may just have a hard drive cable issue, there is an iPod repair service hat can help you with that or a ipod repair guide, if you want to do it yourself

EMPTY DISK

I would say just try to reset the iPod then if that doesnt work, Retore it. Just follow the five R's of Apple and you can never go wrong:

Reset, Retry, Restart, Reinstall, Restore
