Push the pause cancle button at the same time 2 times or unplug and let stay unpluged for 1 min
this should do it. or if this does not work for your machine go to hotpoint.com and download codes and this should tell you how to unlock your machine or what the problem is.

WASH TEMPERATURE UP then press POWER. EcoSmart will give 4 short beeps
and the pattern of LEDs will change.
To lock the size into memory.

Press POWER to confirm the setting and also exit this mode.
It sounds like the pump or drain hose is blocked by something, and if the water does not drain away it will not spin properly.
The last resort would be the control module which is about one hundred and fifteen pounds, so check everything else first.
Not sure if this will work with this model but try this:
1-Turn off and unplug the machine. Plug the washer back in and wait for the control panel to light up. This resets the washer back to the original factory settings.
2-Unlock the control panel by simultaneously pushing and holding down the Options and Select button for 10 seconds if you see a lock icon on the control display.
3-Push whichever new options you need, and wait for the control panel to flash and reset the washer's options.
If the drum is turning then its most likely the tacho on the back of the motor or the wires connecting the tacho to the control panel. So the motor is turning but the panel can't control the speed so will switch off straight away. If the drum doesnt turn but you hear the motor kick, then the drum belt is broken...

Sounds like a tacho fault. Could be you have a broken wire on the motor circuit. Tilt the machine back and take a look underneath at the wires leading to the motor. This is just to give you an idea if it is a broken wire, you shouln't try to repair it like this, you would need to remove the front panel to allow yourself enough space to affect a repair. For a workshop manual on the WMA66 which would give additional help and advice on dismantling and rebuilding as well as fault finding click on the link.
Sounds like the PCB is Freaking out. All you can do is Check all the connections between the Main board and Display board and if you still have the problem - then i'm afraid it is probably the Main Board gone Faulty.
