Aiptek IS-DV Memory Full message when memory card is empty

My camcorder won't take new video or new pictures. It keeps telling me the message "Memory Full". My memory card is empty. I cleared it onto my computer. When I put the camcorder in Playback mode, there are no files on the memory card. How do I make this problem go away?

Brand-new Aiptek Action HD GVS camcorder. Records OK to internal memory. I tried 2 different new SD cards and get Memory Full message. Tried reformatting. Tried reinserting SD card while camcorder was on. Still can't record to either SD card.

I brought a new Aiptex pockethd ahd 100 camcorder, inserted a brand new sd card. Did some test shot, tried to play back on pc. Nothing happened. When I later tried to view the video's and picture on camcorder, kept on getting memory full. Went into see files all have crosses on the. Does not let me delete any files. Plus the sign of the sd card keeps appearing with a lock sign on it.

Exactly the same thing happend to me with my brand-new Aiptek. Turns out it was the no-name brand SD card that I got from China which destroyed it. Aiptek was kind enough to replace it for free since it was under warranty. Aiptek's caution: Stick to brands like SanDisk, Dane-Elec, Kingston, Transcend or PNY. Purchase from resellers like Target, Best Buy, Newegg.com or Amazon.com. Avoid MINI & MACRO style cards. NO Sandisk Ultra II or Extreme III, class 6. AVOID Hi-SPEED!

When I power up my Aiptek 720P camcorder the screen tells me the memory is full although I have emptied the memory

Try reformatting the media, if using an SD card, replace it with another and use a PC and format it FAT16 with a PC and USB dongle return it to the unit it should be OK, you may have to format again after you put it in sometimes too.

Keep telling memory is full i buy a new one still the same thing

Try purchasing a memory card to insert in your camcorder to solve your memory full problems. The bigger the card, the more room before your memory is full. Transfer your videos and/or photos to your computer and delete what is left over in the camcorder whenever possible.

Hello...you didn't specify the type of video camera you have...if possible, go into the menu options concerning the memory card. reformat the memory card--since there are no files on it, you don't have to worry about losing anything. Don't format the card on your computer--the formatting for one maybe drastically different from the other! And vice-versa. Hope I helped you...Rick

I need help with my memory, it says full memory but theres no memory card.

That's why ist says so. According to the manual, there is an internal memory. (I don't seem to be able to put pictures there.) Anyway, since the onboard memory does not seem to exist, the camera has no place to write the image to. Hence, it displays the message "memory full", which is easiest.

Try using an SD Card.

We have a brand new camera with a brand new 32 gb memory card and when we try to use the camera we get the message "memory full".

The SDHC (32GB) card is not supported by that model. The IS-DV has 16MB internal memory and supports up to 1 GB SD card.

Return 32GB card ... very expensive...

Hope this helps!
