I need to get access to the drum, how easy is this to strip out?

There is a piece of metal from my wife's bra lodged underneath the drum, or internal between the drum rotational skin and the drum itself.

If you remove one of the paddles from inside the drum you may be able to grab it with long nose pliers or wire coathanger.
put a small screw driver into the paddle's 3rd hole from the front to press in a metal tab carefully not to bend it completely and pull the paddle towards the front and it will come off.
if the bra wire is up the back of the drum you may be able to grab it with removal of the heater element round the back of the machine at the bottom of the drum, loosen the 10mm bolt,(not off clompletely) and wiggle the heater out.

Electric Dryer Model DCSR473EVOWW has loud scraping sound when drum turning .... sounds like metal on metal

There is likely to be something stuck between the inner drum and the outer casing. In my experience this is most commonly the wire from an underwired bra! (belonging to my wife!)

If the inner drum has holes in it feel the surface carefully all over to try to detect a wire or other object protruding into the drum. If you find something it can often be pulled free with a pair of pliers or pincers.

When I wash clothes some of the clothes getting torn. On each load at lest two or three pieces need to thrown out because it will have many holes in it. What could be the issue

Most likely to be something lodged in one of the holes inside the drum - commonly a wire from an underwired bra!

Examine the internal surface of the drum carefully with your hands to see if you can find anything protruding. If you find anything it does not belong there. Use a pair of pliers to gently but firmly remove it, maybe having to twist it to take account of the fact that it will now be bent.

Sound like something has gone in between the drum and the outertank, usually a bra wire.. unless you can see it poking through a hole in the drum the only other access points for retrieval are through the sump hose at base , or the removal of heating element.. other than that it becomes a strip down job... but usually the 2 access points are sufficient..

Wire from wifes bra came out during wash and went through holes in drum on Daewoo Air Power DWD 1212S. Moving drum even by hand and the wire can be heard making scraping sound

If a front loader, put washer on a bench to allow proper viewing. If you cant apply tweezers to the b.c.spring from inside the drum, then you need to find the heating element. 90% of the time, the B.C.spring will be lodged against the element structure Remove element them carefully rotate the drum while looking inside the element hole. If you see it, devise a tool to remove it. Reassemble it and back to normal.

How do you remove underwire lodged between drum and outer case

hi to remove bra wire from between drums ? you might try this 1st ? if you diconnect water supply hoses and unplug power supply then remove rear panel from machine you will have access to the large rubber drain hose from outer drum down to discharge pump ? ok hose is held by spring wire clips both ends remove clips then hose you may find bra wire either in hose or close to drum drain if you need ? feel inside drom via drain hole ? or probe with a piece of coat hang wire ? you may even find the mysterious missing sock/ thong / etc when you disconnect the hose too?? any debri has to lay in bottom of outer drum and so a little patience will locate them using this method instead of removing the main front door sealto drum for access to same area also with rear panel off you can check belt tension ? hope this helps/inspires you ? best wishes from uk

Unless you can hear it catching as the drum is going round I would leave well alone, it will probably just get lodged near the heater and not cause any problem.
If the m/c has a removable rear panel then you can get access into the drum by removing the sump hose fastened onto the bottom of the drum. you might find it stuck there.
If no removable panel, then it is a strip down job, Not recommended, unless you know what you are doing.

disconnect from electricity. take back panel off.you will see heater at bottom of tub held in by 1 10mm nut.disconnect wires to it. loosen this nut and pull heater out - you may have to help it with a screwdriver. you can then see into the gap between tub and drum and fish for the bra wire.

Bra underwire stuck

Switch off machine and unplug it from the wall socket. Remove back plate and identify the heating element. It should be located at the bottom of the outer drum. Remove element and you will have limited access to the space between the drums. Rotate the drum slowly by hand untill the bra wire gets to the bottom of the drum. Remove obstruction with hook or long tweeser.
