XBOX 360 HMDI connection help

Your console must have the HDMI connection inorder for it to use the HDMI cord. Most newer consoles have the connection. If your only connection looks like a trapazoid and there is no connection under it stating HDMI, then you do not have a console with the HDMI connection.

What is the best external cooling system for xBox

There are few manufacturers in the market providing cooling solution for Xbox 360

1) Nyko Intercooler is not popular and not recommended by gamers, so do not go for it

2) Cooler King retails at a price of around $35 it has additional ports with the cooler, read more about this here.

3) Gameshark Cooler available for $20, check the link here

4) Rear Mounted Cooler for $11, check the link here

also 2 other links from here and here

i have not used any cooler for my Xbox 360 so i have given you options to choose from which have good reviews, personally i would suggest you not to go for any cooler just ensure you wipe off the dust from your Xbox vents regularly and keep it at a well ventilated location.

I am from India which is a tropical country with very hot tempratures that rise up to 104 degree Fahrenheit, after one RRoD replacement for the past 1.5 years i have being playing on my Xbox 360 without any issues, i keep dusting my Xbox 360 frequently since i also have dust issue at my place.

Hope this helps, do rate my solution

Happy Gaming

I have 2 red flashing rings on my xbox can i fix this without sending the console to MS?

Ah, this simply means it overheated, try moving it away from anything that would block heat from escaping the console, and give it a break. Try putting it in a cooler environment, but not to cold. Just make sure it doesn't get to hot.
Glad to help! :)

It's overheating. Consider buying an external cooler at a local Target or Best Buy.

When i turned on my xbox 360 three red lights came on the console

When someone say that his/her Xbox is having three red lights problem, It means it needs to be repaired. If you are using Cooler than it is not a cure but a prevention. You could have used cooler before acutally having the problem just to prevent your Xbox. But now you will have to either get it repaired from Microsoft (in case your Xbox's warranty is not expired, but one thing to note is that you will have to wait for at least 3-4 weeks to get back your Xbox) or you can Fix your Xbox's three Flashing red lights problem yourself with the help of DIY Video guide available on Internet. You can fix yourself without any technical knowledge.

Three red lights

three red lights (no error message) - two reasons for the red lights: hardware failure or power supply unit failure.

when the three red lights is showing check the light on the power supply unit. if the light is green you console is experiencing a hardware failure. you need to send the console to MS service center or if you have no MS support in your country look for someone who knows how to repair the console or go to and look for information on how to repair the console yourself.

if the light is orange, red or no light at all, there might be a problem with the power supply unit. disconnect and reconnect the power cables from the 360 and reconnect them again. if there is an inter-cooler connected at the back of the console, remove the inter-cooler and turn on the console without the inter-cooler. try also a different wall socket and if the light on the power supply is still orange, red, or no light when you turn on the console you need to replace the power supply unit.
