You can install any of the newer models in the center,They come with the straps and seat belt grabs for this purpose and are attached to the bottom of most car seats.

The question is quite wide, you want to know what models can not be installed in front of fold down arm rests? would you rather have a model that can be installed or are you looking for a list of products that can't be installed this way.

Hi there
As far as i know all baby seats can be installed in the center of the back seat if thats what you mean.
Only some luxury cars that don't have a center seat belt strap you cannot.

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!!!

If there is no "seatbelt" in the center of the back seat then guidelines suggest that you use the left or right seats regardless of whether or not there is a fold down arm rest or not

The PortAbout 5 was last manufactured in 2005, making it very likely the seat has expired. Contact Evenflo (800-233-5921, www.evenflo.com) about the expiration date and reattaching the visor (if the seat has not expired). Please DO NOT use an expired seat!
Manufacturer states that, when installing this rear facing only restraint in an outboard seating position, there should be at least 1.5" of space between the restraint, including the handle, and the
back of the front seat.
Do not remove the harness strap from the adjuster. If the harness is ever mistakenly removed, Evenflo will send a new harness with adjuster.

Grab a pair of pliers! With the pliers, pull the bottom tab out towards you and slide the top tab underneath. Once the top tab is under the bottom, the armrest will pop right off.

I had the same problem in my 240sx Nissan, I was told that because of the dip in the seat it was impossible to fasten it down properly so I went to one of those help for car seat classes that the police help you with and they told me just to take a towel and tightly roll it up and put in the dip of the seat, then fasten the base down! Hope this helps you!
