If Internet explorer was deleted - you cannot follow any link to download IE again... ( I'm sorry for my colleagues' ignorance )... a viable alternative is to use a friend's PC and download FireFox or Google Chrome. Install it on your PC then download the newest version from Microsoft's website.

Alternately - You can do a system restore to a date you last KNOW it was working. It will not replace or remove any data files.

Finally - if you use your XP O/S disc - you can do a windows REPAIR installation which will retain all your files, but you will need to re-install any software added to the system.

I have listed the fixes easiest to hardest. Start off with usng a seconday browser - if you can't then do a system restore - if thats not possible - a O/S Repair install is your last option.

If you need more help, please re-post.

Thanks for using FixYa - a FixYa rating is appreciated!!

Have your computer checked by good antivirus. It looks like some kind of virus. I would suggest free sofware called
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM):
http://www.techsupportteam.org/forum/tutorials/2282-malwarebytes-anti-malware-mbam.html
But most probably you need to get it from another computer use USB drive to download it first and install it at your computer and have it checked
Good Luck

The most likely is that you have a virus, as you have not done anything to remove Internet Explorer.

Even if you have an updated antivirus , many viruses can still be active.

Download and run the spybot utility after you use system restore from Start>>Programs>>Accessories>>system tools>>system restore, or from control panel.

    download spybot below:

I keep getting a message that Internet Explorere is operating with no add-ons. But, when I check, they are enabled. Also, I cannot get pop-ups on Ancestry.com, but my pop-up blocker is not on.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the program. If this doesn't work. Try using a different browser like FireFox. You can import your bookmarks from ie. If this doesn't work. Back up your files to an external storage and do a full system restore. This returns your computer to an out of the box state.

When I turn on my emachines t3265 desktop computer, it freezes at the logo, and does not proceed to Windows so I can log on. What is the likely problem, and how can I fix it?

Turn it on.
Hit the ESCAPE (or TAB) key to replace that colourful logo with the technical details of the computer's POST (Power On Self Test) messages. Look for any messages, such as "unable to boot from disk drive" or "disk-drive not detected". Also, remove any CD/DVD media from the CD/DVD drive. Also, remove any 3.5-inch diskette, and disconnect any USB memory-sticks BEFORE you turn it on.

When going onto a website or internet exporer iget this message error while unpacking program code 2 report to author

This issue normally happens when their are many toolbars and other addons installed on your browser. And if those or one of the addons are currupted. Hence uinstall all of the toolbar and the addons (like yahoo toolbar etc). You really dont need those toolbar.

My compaq computer has a missing registry data file

Your best be would be to reinstall Windows from the CD. As long as you don't format the drive, your data should remain intact.
