Compaq V3828AU driver

Easiest way would be to use a seperate computer and download the drivers onto a usb stick and use that to install the drivers. You can't download straight to your computer since your Internet won't work (Ethernet Controller isn't installed) You can also burn a CD if a USB doesn't work.

do you use Vista 64 OS, if yes, then try this.

coprocessor + sm bus controller + ethernet = chipset driver

they all r included in chipset driver, if your NB has AMD processor

plz confirm if it works

Do you mean you DOWNGRADED from Vista to XP
OR upgraded from XP to Vista.
coprocessor should have been picked up by Windows build in drivers.

I believe the other device listed is your card reader

We had the same exact problem but with a Compaq Pesario V6000 series notebook. Ours had to do with the NVidia System Management Controller but was listed in the device manager as a coprocessor. Kind of a bland description.
Solution: Downloaded and installed NVidia System Management Controller from here. Hope this helps.
