Question about Fisher and Paykel Fisher Paykel Intuitive Eco Washer IWL15
I need to replace the agitator as one of the 3 bottom flaps broke off. Unless I hear otherwise, I will continue to use the washing achine with the broken flap since it does not spin very fast and I doubt that it will cause any harm, but I'd like feedback on this anyway. Also, how can I get a replacement agitator and is it easy to install one myself?
It takes all of 5 minutes (if that) to change the agitator. You pop off the fabric softener dispenser on the top of the agitator, then reach down inside and undo the plastic wingnut that secures the agitator down and then simply lift if off.
As for issues with using it with broken fins, you could end up with some clothes damage, especially to delicate items, if you continue to use it that way.
You can get the part here:

I had the same issue occur with my FP washer. It's ashame that these part have to wear out in such a short period of time because the they are built in a flimsy manner.
Anyway, the repair is very simple and takes only a few minutes.

I've had the same issue with my FP washer, obviously a design flaw. I haven't tried fixing it or replacing it yet, but I likely will as the edges are jagged and sharp. Thanks for the help
