Question about Sebo Automatic X1 Bagged Upright Vacuum

1 Answer

Need Sebo x-1 parts

I need a hose for a SEBO X-!. Part # HG-50. No one in my are(Syracuse New York) seem to carry parts and on line vendors only seem to carry basic bags, filters and brushes. I am the Maintenance Supervisor for the Onondaga County Public Libraries and have 10 of these machines and am spending way to much time trying to track down a source for parts. Unless I can find a vendor I am probably going to send these machines to auction.
Can you provide me with a reliable source for parts?

How do I replace the front bottom plate on my Sebo X4 Extra vacuum cleaner, this is the metal/plastic plate on the front base of the bottom of the cleaner (no visible fixings)

With the power head cover removed, you will see tabs on the inside of the chassis inline with the front bottom plate. Simply pinch the tabs with some needle nose pliers and push. I have included a link to the parts list as well as the front bottom plate. You will see by the picture what those tabs look like and how to remove the front bottom plate. 5411 HG Front Bottom Plate Windsor Sensor S12 XP12 SR12 86138280 allstar... http://sebo.us/pdfs/website_schematicsPDFs/AUTOMATIC%20X%20Schematics.pdf

What is the right bag for sebo x4

  1. First, pull out the hose, turn the unit on, check for an obstruction in the hose. (unclog and obstruction)
  2. Separate the body from power nozzle. Check for obstruction in the air hole passage.
  3. Pull and clean both filters in the unit. The inside white long carriage and the exhaust filter located above indicator panel. (nozzle body)
  4. If this is not working. think about where and how dirt is carried or passes from the front floor nozzle or through the hose.Somewhere in the unit the it is clogged. The red light censers a full bag (we know that's not the issue) or an obstruction to the normal air flow.
  5. Last Resort contact http://www.sebo.us/contact_us.aspx
  6. In closing: I've been selling and repairing vacuums for over 30 years. Of all the 5 major brands that I sell. Sebo is by far the, best product on the market.

Why will my sebo felix not turn on when it is plugged in. The bag is empty and the beater bar is free of threads and string.

If it is only the power head that does not turn on, make sure that the hose is fully inserted into the bag housing. There is a switch in the bag housing that has to be activated. If you are not getting any power anywhere, the most common cause would be the power cord. If you are getting 120 volts through the cord, you may need a new power switch. I have included a parts list for your machine for reference. http://sebo.us/pdfs/website_schematicsPDFs/FELIX%20Schematics.pdf

Sebo c3.1 will run not ****

Did you check for any loose wires or disconnect? See if it runs without the hose connected, It should. If not then you know it's in the machine. If it runs then the problem is in the hose most likely the switch. If it runs for a while before shutting off you may want to replace the thermosensor. It's connected to the back of the motor and is a little rectangular piece that sits in it's own little slot. (I had a "Sebo fix it guy" put my motor back in upside down and the sensor was just hanging off in the air and that was the problem. I'll do my own work thanks. Check with Centralvacuumstores.com they carry lots of parts or will order them from the manufacture if needed. Very nice company to work with too!!!

My sebo x5 power head goes up and down without stopping

Hi There,
Sounds like you have a faulty control board in that one. You need to contact a sebo service centre unless you are comfortable repairing this sort of thing. If you need sebo parts in Australia check out VacuumSpot.com.au

My sebo does not seem to be picking up stuff off carpet, what can i do. When I use the hose apart from the vacum it does having sucking power.

Unlike most vacuum cleaners, the Sebo Felix has two separate motors - one for the suction and one to drive the brush roll - so there are several things to check. You say the hose has suction, so the problem is in the lower part of the machine. First, check that there's no blockage in the base of the machine, then check that the brush roll is actually rotating when the machine's switched on. If there's no blockage and the brush roll is rotating, then the problem is simply that the brush bristles are worn and you need a new brush roll. If the brush roll is not rotating, listen to hear if the motor is running - if it is, then you need a new drive belt. If the motor is not running, there's an electrical problem and you may need professional help. If you need more advice, post a response here and I'll do what I can to help. Good luck!

Sebo automatic x1.1 loss of suction

Check that the dust channel from the sole plate/brush head isn't clogged. Open the trapdoor (usually orange in colour on the base) and inspect the dust channel - sometimes dog hair can get trapped between the main dust channel and the feeder. Other than that take off the main hose and see if there's a clog down there as well as the main part where the wand locks in at the back. Its reasonably easy to get a clog out from a Sebo X range model.

Belts on Sebo Automatic XP1

I am not sure of the question about the belts. This is information I have found and maybe I will answer your question.

This link is a parts breakdown of your machine.
http://sebo.com.au/downloads/9547AU_9548AU_9549AU_1.pdf

Reference # followed by part # then description.
153 - 5463 Belt 2MR-310-6
154 - 5110 Belt 219 3M-HTDII-6

The following link is to contact Sebo, If you need to order belts, they may sell directly to you so contact them and give them the part #'s I supplied. If they wont sell directly to you, they should give you information on who around you is a Sebo dealer and will have belts to sell you.
