Re: sim card PUK
I am so sorry your phone is requesting a PUK code. I hope you did not put in other codes after it asked for the PUK code. If you didn't, you are safe! Then, contact your service provider. They'll provide you with the PUK code. Your nokia will then ask you to type in a new PIN code. twice! Make it easy for yourself! If, you did put in the PUK code incorrectly too many times, you just may have a paper weight in your hands. You can contact www.nokiausa.com/support get their 1-800 number to have your phone FLASHED. It'll erase everything on the phone, but you'll have your phone back. I may recommend to download for free from that same web site Nokia PC Suite. To back up your data onto you PC from your Nokia
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

PUK Code PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. This is a unique eight-digit code specific to your SIM card. This is required when the PIN number to unlock your mobile phone is entered incorrectly 3 times. You are then given 10 attempts to enter your PUK code. If an incorrect PUK code is entered after the 10th attempt, you will block your SIM card permanently and will require a new SIM card from your mobile phone provider. PUK codes can be obtained through the following ways - The PUK code is in your SIM card documentation Starter Pack. If you do not have this then - Please contact your phone service provider. Your cell phone service provider can give you the PUK code once you give them your account details and they have confirmed your identity. For details to obtain the PUK code for the SIM card, please click on this link and follow my instructions. http://www.fixya.com/support/r5705889-puk_code

The PUK number is usually from a 3G SIM card modem. If you've just inserted a SIM card for your 3G internet access, you'll need to find the SIM card's documentation and get the PUK number from there. Usually the PUK number is on the sheet of paper that the SIM card was glued onto. If you can't find the PUK number contact your internet provider from where you got the SIM card.

i cant tell you the puk code by telling network provider. You can call to your network provider customer care and give your sim number that is written in your sim card. They will give you puk code. By using that you can unlock your sim card....Hope you will succeed,...
Typically when a phone is asking for a PUK code it means you have tried to edit or set the secuirty pin code. Unfortunately these codes are already predefined by the sim card and the service provider. It gives you the sensation that you can set or change the code but you cannot. You get 3 attempts to enter the correct code after which the phone asks for a PUK code. When it asks for the PUK you also get three tries to undo it. Again PUK codes are predefined by the sim card and the service provider. If you call your service providers technical support number or customer service number they can provide you with the PUK or the PIN code.
>>>> Once the PUK has been entered in wrong 3 times the sim card is shot and deactivated. At this point you will need to get a new sim card to get your phone up and running again. If you have numbers stored to your sim card and not to your phone you will have lost them.
You can only get the PUK digits from your network service provider. But you know there are some service centers that are retrieving PUK digits- but I'm pretty sure they have contacts to the network. Try to go there but I'm sure they will charge you for that kind of service. Trust me I did it once too.
