I have a D-Link DP-101 print server and 3 Win ME and 1 Win XP computer peer to peer LAN. I can use my DP-101 on the ME machines with no problem. I can get my XP machine so it can ping the print server but can't find the port. It sees the print server but not the print server port ( \\psepson\epsnport ). When I double click on the print server (psepson) instead of opening up a windows with epsnport like the Windows ME computers do, the XP machine gives me the error message "Not accessible or you don't have permission".
Any ideas ? Thanks JG

Don't know exactly because this stuff is new to me as well. However, I just got a D-Link Gateway Router and it's got a printer server built in.
Maybe that Print Server of yours works in much the same way:
Perhaps ... install any software from D-Link onto the computer. Then, after reboot, look at the interface for the printer driver. Check the "ports" settings. If you click and scroll on the ports setting, does it then give you options for something like "D-Link LPT Port" or something like that?
Since this Gateway Router has only one printer port, all I have to do is give the computer printer driver the IP address of the Gateway Router.
In your case, I guess, there would have to be not only the IP address of the Print Server, but, there would also have to be a designation for which of the several ports on the Print Server you want to call into action.
My guess is that the D-Link software has provided for that functionality, but, maybe not. It seems that with all computer hardware and software, there's always missing when the marketing hyperbole led you to expect it.
