Bose remote RC-25 won't work anymore

Check the condition of the battery in the remote. If no good, replace.

Reboot the Roku by disconnecting from power supply, wait a few seconds and re plug unit. Should work then since I have had my Roku lock up like this on 2 occasions.

If neither solution does the trick you just hope unit is still under warranty.

make sure the lens on the remote and the one on the Bose are clean. If that does not work, replace the remote. Buy a used on on ebay.

Check its infrared emission first. As it is new, the only possibility is with the failure of infrared LED inside it. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, check this link, and pull up older posts there.

HOW TO INSTALL BATTERIES Remove the lid in the rear part of the remote control unit.
Insert two AAA alkaline batteries of 1,5 V-DC. Make sure the batteries point in the direction marked in the battery compartment.
The batteries last about six months. Depending on how much you use the remote control unit. Remove the batteries if you do not use the remote control unit for more than one month. Press the +, -, SET and CLEAR buttons together after batteries replacement.

If your system is plugged into a surge protecter, the Bose service guy told me that sometimes the Bose system detects a surge and automatically shuts down. Unplug the system for 5 minutes and then plug back in. This works because it happened to my system. I called Bose and this is what I was told. It worked!

Replace its infrared emission LED. It is weak, and so the signal out from the remote control too.

It seems to be a common misconception that the remote is necessary to turn a device on. All devices have hard-wired power controls. Does THAT work? It is unclear which device (remote or the Cinemate) is malfunctioning. If the Cinemate won't turn on by its own power switch the remote won't magically bypass whatever the problem is.

the electric cord id also an antenna. do not let the elctric cords touch other electric cords or it wil have interference.

Check your settings on the receiver , it might be off.
