Re: My screen is lockedI did a hard reset and screen wont...
Ur touch panel is faulty u have to go to service centre , there are 3 things coupled together Lcd screen then touch panel and then front housing for protection of both , u might dropped it , if ur screen is working partially i mean if it responds to taps at some region of screen then it may be a dust inside the housing u have to clean it from inside if u can , otherwise if it completely not responding then it is faulty touch panel , it will cost u around 50 , 60 $

HI, Here is a link to get you to the Palm support page. You can do a phone call to the but it will cost you $25. There is also a chat feature and that looks like it is free so hopefully that will help. Best wishes.
Does it respond to keyboard entry? If not, check to see if the "lock" icon on the screen is in the locked position. It's real easy to accidentially lock the device. If it is, just click on the lock and confirm that you want to unlock.
The next few can be a problem if the screen is not responding, so you'll need to figure out the keyboard equivalent:
You may also want to check the system settings. I believe there is a setting that will enable you to "turn off" the touch screen function.
Finally, try a touchscreen alignment in the system settings.
Mine hp ipaq also froze up, but I tapped the screen until they moved around all in alignment, and I got the basic things back (my programs, Media Player etc. but I can't sync it with my computer. It doesn't recognize the name of my handheld.
At times, Touch screen does not respond and phone cannot be unlocked by no means, Problem do not get solved even after restarting phone, removing battery & reinserting etc.. This happend typically during nights when the phone is not used and in the morning, touch screen does not respond to do any activities. after installing a software i had a hard reset, after that my tuch screen did not work.please help meeeeeeeeeeee ! !
Make sure your device is not locked. Lock button is the "Slide Switch" lower left side of device. If locked, will show a lock in upper right part of screen. Will unlock when you pull down the keyboard. This is also a very good feature to prevent accidentally dialing when getting in/out of your car etc...To unlock, slide switch to middle position.
I used to have this sort of issue with a Palm pilot. It is most likely that a piece of grit or dirt from your pocket has embedded itself between the touch screen and the housing.
This can be fixed by pulling appart your phone however that will void any warranty that you have. If it is still under warranty, return it to the place of purchase and get them to fix it.
