Question about Canon BJC 80 InkJet Printer
Just rec'd my eBay Canon BJC 80 printer.... no driver.... tried to hook it up to my IBM Thinkpad laptop (Windows '98). Bought adaptor and parallel USB cable separately... all hooked up... This model BJC printer not listed on the 'printer list' for Canon printers in the "add printer" list. Directs me to find a "compatible printer" amond my printer documents to click on for the install..... I HAVE NO printer documents!
Please help? !!! Will I have to throw out this printer and the adaptor and start with another system??? I'm a dinosaur and only "know" BJC 2110 Canon printers !!! Sorry !
You can download the software from Canon.
Here is the page to download the driver from:
Click on the "Drivers & Downloads" tab. Select your operating system from the dropdown menu. (Windows 98)
Click on the red link for the driver BJ_v397.exe.
When the download window opens, select "Save" and select a location you know how to access after the download. For an easy way, save it to your Desktop.
After the download, connect the printer, turn it on. Then run (doubleclick) the file you saved.
