Loud while agitating

Hi I have a whirlpool lsq9010kq0. It is very loud while agitating...click-clack, click-clack...and it seems it may be running faster than normal. Is that possible? Any ideas? Lloyd

They usually are kinda loud, the click clack of the cam and doggs biting the teeth on the inside of the agitator,  is the upper agitator actualy spinning correctly? I doubt the coupler is bad if you have agitation or spinning and it doesnt automatically mean theres a prob with the gearbox. make sure its not leaking oil. -try taking out agitator and run machine, see if the noise persists.

Why does my washing machine make a clacking noise during agitation...it goes clack, clack,

Hi

Clacking noise comes when either the agitator or the transmission or clutch assembly goes bad. To check which part# has gone bad you'll have to open the unit and first check the agitator. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Does not spin or empty

it might be jammed or there might be dirt or some sort of a clog. I would suggest you clean it out.

Loud clicking while agitating

You may have debris stuck in the pump.
This can cause the clicking sound and also bind the pump causing a circuit overload.

Agitates loudly when in use

It souds to me that you might have some bad agitator dogs. To test this problem, grab the agitator and replicate its motion during operation. If it moves easily in both directions, or makes the sounds you're describing move ahead. If that test passes, unfotunatley, you might have a transmission or tub bumper problem. not too bad, but more involved.

Begin by taking the very tipy top of the agitator off. You'll see inside a plastic piece you can pull right out. Next you will need a 9/16 or 11mm socket with extention. Remove the bolt and pull the top half of the agitator out, tip it upside down to remove the dog carriage. See those four small plastic things? Those are them. They're very cheap and redily availible. Reassemble, and enjoy your laundry! Let me know how things go.
