Keeps shutting off

Your internet explorer browser could be at fault. Try a different browser such as Chrome or firefox,. If they work then your problem is with the IE browser part of windows. If so, no big deal since the other two browsers are better and less memory intensive.

One is that my desktop computer keeps saying that 'internet can not connect to google.

Are you able to surf the internet with Internet Explorer in normal ways?

If the answer is no, get any latest version of new browser (chrome, firefox, etc) and make it as your default browser and see if the problem persists or not.

And if the answer is yes, the problem may be lying into IE itself. Now, again, use any other updated browser and make it default and see what happens.

Hope this helps, Mrityunjay.

Yahoo messenger doesn't show the chat rooms on my desktop

Possible Reasons & Fixes:

-->If you are in the UK, and use the UK Yahoo! Instant Messenger, you will not be able to see the adult roomnames, or user roomnames. This is in order to protect people, and children against obseen activities that may go on in these rooms.
-->Log out and close the program. restart PC and log in again then try to open chat room. if rooms won't load, there should be a connection problem from the server into your PC.

--> In your Messenger window:
1. Click on Messenger.
2. Click on Preferances.
3. Click on General.
4. Check box says: "Open web links in new browser window."
5. Check box that says: "Automatically sign me in when I click on a Yahoo link in Messenger."
6,.) Click on Apply.
7.) Click on OK.

If that does not work, you might also need to check these settings:
1.) On your Internet Explorer toolbar, click on tools.
2.) Click on Internet Options.
3.) Click tab that says Programs.
4.) Near the bottom Where it says Default Web Browser, make sure Internet Explorer IS the default web browser.
5.) Click on Apply.
6.) Click on OK.

Regards
George

Internet explorer keeps telling me cannot display webpage

First check whether you are connected to the internet through a proxy or directly. Then check internet option connection lan setting option maybe those should be kept to automatic or point to the right server. Then in the internet explorer go to the internet option , advanced and click reset button that should do the trick. Also if this doesnot work download firefox and install it. when you can see pages in firefox that means everything is okay and it is problem with the browser. replace your browser with new ie8 and thats all

Unhandled problem in 3rd party module

What browser are you using? Firefox, Internet Explorer, I always experience that in Internet Explorer. That's mostly a problem with a corrupted toolbar that is intalled in yoour Internet Explorer browser. You can try to reset the browser to default.

Reset Internet Explorer 7/8 - go to let me do it myself
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737

Reset Internet Explorer 6
start->run->inetcpl.cpl->advanced options->reset remove all the addons'

Regarding the blocked message when you go to a page. can you please provide more information. I know something like that but I'm not sure if you're experiencing the thing I know. But it's most probably a spyware.

Hope this helps.

When I try to log on to the internet using msn or ie it just says connecting and nothing happens

Are you sure you are connected to the internet? TRy openin a command prompt window and try "ping http://www.msn.com" and see if you get a result or get a message indicating you have no connection at all. You say you have a problem when using IE, can you connect with another browser? You may have a problem with your browser applicaiton if you can connect with one browser but not another.

Wont let me log on

What internet browser are you using and the version? For example Internet Explorer 6 or Mozilla Firefox 3. Internet Explorer is the "e" on your desktop.

Have you ever been able to successfully surf the internet on this computer?

If so, try clearing out your temporarly internet files and cookies. It depends on what browser you have on the computer for steps.

Internet Explorer: you would right click on the "e" on the desktop and left click on properties from the drop down menu. Then depending on what version you have....you would clear history, delete cookies and delete files...for example.

The other thing you might need to do is remove MSN Messenger from your startup folder so it doesn't even open anymore causing grief.

Desktop problem

try downloading and installing firefox web brwoser, then use this instead of internet explorer... you may just have a bug in your internet explorer and it is so much easier to use firefox than to try and repair a faulty internet explorer.

go here for firefox :

My internet explorer

Could you please let me know which operating system and version of IE used?

Also check if your internet is working properly, for this run Command prompt --> enter ping www.yahoo.com -t

If it gives reply ...
then internet connection is ok.

If it is window Xp with internet explorer 7.0, then you need to roll back the IE from 7.0 to 6.0.

IF it is window Vista, then use Google chrome as Web Browser.

Let me know in more detail so I can investigate further and fix the problem.

I am having a problem logging in to my online banking i am getting a time out dislpay i have talked with sov.bank and they say because this is a new explorer site they do not except it and i should go...

Personally, Internet explorer just doesn't cut it for a lot of my websites. I've actually had the same exact problem. I've all but completely switched to Firefox web browser. It's backwards compatible with almost every site I've ever visited and I've noticed many fewer crashes.

Try firefox at www.firefox.com and see if that works better for you. The best thing about this browser is, the site I visit that must be viewed with internet explorer are viewable. They have a downloadable add-on that lets you run internet explorer in a firefox tab. :)

I hope this helps out, but other then my idea there isn't much you're going to be able to do. If their banking tools won't allow IE8, then you've gotta bite the bullet and use something else.
