We just received our brand new clock radio, this afternoon (Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009), so immediately plugged it in to check it out. At first, the clock worked without any problems, but after turning it off then back on, again, NOTHING! We tried to unplug and plug it back in a couple of times with no success. There was nothing on either the AM or FM and the booklet that came with the clock radio offers no troubleshooting problems at all. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions as to what the problem is, PLEASE let us know so we don't have to return this BRAND NEW clock radio.

This Clock/Radio has had a problem with component failure. Since Emerson doe not support out of warranty repairs, you will not be able to get it repaired. Due to the low production cost of these short production run products, parts and service information are usually available to the manufacturer and service centers only. This mean that there is no parts and service information for independent repair shops. Even if you could get it repaired it would cost more than purchasing a new Clock/Radio. Sorry it took so long to help you. You should have returned the Clock/Radio to the place of purchase for exchange. The Clock/Radio has had problem with component failure. This is probably happen during its shipping from china to the USA. This does happen unfortunately. Shipping can be the cause of many problem with electronic equipment. For the Clock/Radios that are having problems with the clock display and settings. You will have to reset the Clock/Radio's microprocessor. To do this you must unplug the Clock/Radio from the wall outlet and remove the internal battery. You must let the Clock/Radio set with no power for at least 1 hour to discharge the microprocessor circuits. The microprocessor should then be able to reset itself. You can then reinsert the battery and plug the Clock/Radio into the a/c wall outlet. The functions should have reset and be working normally. If this does not solve the problem, try putting in a new battery (CR2430). Before putting in the new battery, unplug the clock radio and remove the old battery and let it set again for a few hours this time to try to reset the microprocessor. If this does not solve the problem (This includes the person with the complete Clock/Radio operation failure) you can call the Emerson customer support at this telephone number 1-800-898-9020. Give them the make and model number of the Clock/Radio. Tell them the problems you are having with the operation of the Clock/Radio and ask them for assistance.
