Question about Lexmark C524 Laser Printer

Lexmark c524--have to keep reinstalling software

Throughout the day I have to completley reinstall the software in order to print. I originally had the printer installed on our server, so I switched to my computer and I still had to reinstall the software multiple times a day in order to print. After rebuilding the server I reinstalled the software on the server, but I still have to reinstall the software multiple times a day. I can't find any information on lexmark's website regarding this or any new drivers or anything.

By software are you referring to the printer drivers? What error messages or behaivure are you observing?

It seems you are using a print server to connect the printer 1280 to your LAN. Uninstall the printer software and printer server driver. Connect the print server to the network and first re-install the print server driver. Then connect the printer to the print server and install the printer software. Refer user manual for assistance. Bot the print server and printer software should be compatible with your operating system.

1. Perform System restore:
If the printer software was previously installed on the computer anytime before or even if the original issue was anything else before this error, then try restoring the computer to the date on which the software was working. You can then do add a device from the installation screen. The printer would start working fine as the software would already be available after doing a system restore.
2. Uninstall the complete Software.
Perform L1, L2, and L3 uninstall. Then reinstall the s/w.
3. Insert the CD & start the install, select custom install.
Under options select only "HP Drivers (required)" in order to install only the print/scan/fax drivers. If drivers will be successfully installed, you can add one by one the HP software starting again the installation and selecting Install More Software button & install the software in this order:
• HP Solution Center
• HP Device Functions
• OCR Software
Do not install HP Participation Program or HP Customer Experience or HP Supply.
4. Grant full permission to the system
Right click on My Computer, go to properties\security\Group or user names\ select the customer’s user name & click on permissions. Click to select the Full Control check box under Allow, and then click Advanced. Check both the boxes under advanced window. Click OK & close all the windows & restart the PC. Install the software by following customer install method.
5. Make sure that you have write access rights enabled for the following registry keys:
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-2\
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Print Processors\
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Prrint\Printers.

Kodak ESP 52100 All in one Printer...Was working OK thenstarted printed unreadable script using odd characters...any ideas

Also you can install the printer on another pc to check if the printer is ok.

It does not print when I press the print button with e mail and when I go to File and click print ?????

Seems that there is some software errors. I would like to suggest that you must disconnect the printer and uninstall the printer software.
Then reinstall with the given original software , connect your printer back to the PC . The printer will be detected in the PC and will be installed .
Now you must try to see if the printing action works as you mentioned. If not we have to see if there is some conflict with the mail server/ PC software. Try to use another browser , if using explorer try with firefox, if so the printer software is not linking well with the said software.

When i print all my photos, documents,etc. cyan line are visible in my print outs. how can i overcome this problem

Please try to uninstall the software in your PC after disconnecting the printer and then reinstall . Reconnect the printer then and detect the device . It must solve the issue as this fault could be a software based issue. Hope the inks have been installed with the original and was not done recently , if so check the quality of the inks or the carrtridges. Hope you try. Good day

HP LaserJet 1022 changes the output order for checks, statements, invoices. Worked fine until 4-5 months ago (we switched over to a citrix server). Have tried reinstalling to citrix and local hard driver...

It sounds like a computer software issue. However to overcome the problem through the printer you can try this.

When the screen pop up comes up for printer selection, highlight the printer you will be using, then goto "Preferences". At the top tab click on "Advanced". Go to the bottom of the menu for "Layout Options" and change "Page Order". This should solve your problem, though you may have to change it back to print regularly printed materials.

I can scan, but can't print.

okay u need the installation disk or a copy of one at least it seems the HP download server has been corrupted i had problems on a reinstall NOV/19/08 when i allowed the install program to contact server for updates. when i chose not to contact server the program installed correctly and i have not had a problem yesterday or today try to download a torrent of the cda_Express file and use that as your installation disk. if u dont know what a torrent is read up online about them and then try to find your disk through utorrent or bitcomet both of those are programs used to download torrents. frostwire can be used for torrents as well pretty straight forward if you know a little about software and downloading. best of luck the only other solution would be to order a new installation cd
