Not sure what you mean by the freezer too cold? The freezer section should be at or below 0 degrees C or 32 degree F. if its working properly. If the FF section is too warm and your temp control door or vent is at max cold either the vent is not moving (stuck in the closed position) or the fan in the freezer is not working.
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper)
between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it.
Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it
to run. There is a flap you adjust with
the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust
the fridge temp. The problem could be the electronic control if
you have one or the mechanical linkages.
Wrap all food together in blankets to insulate. But first check for a kink at the bottom of the freezer door where the water line comes up trough the door ,disconnect and press for water. If not check at filter if all fails; replace water valve.
Check the fan in the freezer side to make sure it is running. If the fan is running and you have frost, then you have a defrost problem, Heater is not coming on to melt ice. If fan is not running replace fan.
i replaced the control-defrost adaptive timer pc board after lighting storm and it worked fine for ten days then i turn off may power to my house to reground the house and my frig is doing the same thing fan not running evap freezing fan not running what is going on
yes replace the control box damper assembly as some of the early ones did not work well if i had your serial number could be more specific but don't rate me till were done. also do you hear the evaporator fan running when you open the door
yes remove the rear panel in the freezer where you see the drain hole. Clear the ice from the drain hole. It will take a while for the water to start to drain because the ice is deep in the insulation. A small tube is helpful to draw some hot water in and stick in in the drain hole and squirt the hot water down in the hole.
