Its not the bulb. I have repaired a few of these with color issues. and its caused by short wires that nearly pull out of were there plugged in at. A big fail on the part of the manufacturer.
you have to open it up and check all the wire connectors. Even a plug thats slightly pulled out can cause issues.

SOURCE: My projector has little white dots that appear on

Take off the front bezel, then remove the screws from the lens, pull the lens out and blow it out with compressed air. Do not touch the mirror or magnifier inside. If this doesn't get all of the blemishes, then you will have to remove the top cover and then the top silver part of the engine and blow it out from the top.

Just replaced burnt out bulb in Infocus 4805 projector. Great picture with new bulb but only black and white. Is this a bulb issue or something else in the projector?

This is most likely the color wheel. When the bulb blows, it can damage the color wheel. The color wheel is a wheel composed of thin layers of colored glass that spins in front of the projected image. It is possible to repair it with super glue, but the best way is to try to find a new one to buy.

The projector does not show the color red. It shows it as black or on a black background shows nothing at all. Can you help?

It could be 3 things--
1. You need a new cable
2. This is unlikely, but the red segment could be off the colorwheel, but if this was the case the wheel would be way out of balance and the projector would be vibrating like crazy.
3. The "color ramps" or colorwheel index in the hidden factory menu may need to be adjusted.

Projects a pink background image. Have tried resetting to factory defaults and replacing bulb.

try a brand new cable. if that doesn't fix it then your red lcd panel is probably burnt or the lcd cable isn't plugged in all the way.

I cannot get the color red. a tomato is not red.

replace the colorwheel. you can get the part from an infocus service center and replace it yourself or send it to one for repair. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com

My InFocus 4805 SP projector is showing just black and white

If you have any video at all and it's only Black and white there is a 99.99% chance that your Color Wheel has lost all of it's glass color filters.
You can confirm this by removing the lamp. then look straight into the projector where the lamp was and you should see the color wheel of colored glass segments (Red, Green and blue) I believe you won't see them because they came off of the wheel.
Also if you lift up the projector and turn it around in various angles and you will hear the small pieces of broken glass from the color wheel.
Unfortunately you will need to take it to an authorized service center for repair. Be prepared to spend upwards of $300 for the repair.

Cheers

InFocus LP650 will not come on

That color is not listed because it is either Green or Red. There is no Blue, if you are getting Blue, you have something that is extremely unusual.
