Xerox xd120f, warning lights indicate paper jam,I cleared paper but lights won;t reset. one of your experts told me to check sensors in paper path. I'm not sure what to look for . Could someone please explain in detail where sensors are located and what they look like and is there a reset for the warning lights. Thank you.

I beleive there are only two paper sensors for that machine.
1- in the tray there is a paper empty sensor which hangs down,
make sure you take out the tray and look for any pieces of paper stuck.
2- open right door and look as if your looking inside to where the
paper is supposed to end up. The sensor is in that black unit, is there
any paper there, can you see a black lever, if you pull on it gently
and let go does it snap back in place?
That cylindrical thing is the drum; the drum is photosensitive, meaning it is sensitive to light much like film in a camera. If paper is jamming and is covered in toner, that means the drum is possibly losing its effective properties and it is not being cleaned properly. The drum can be replaced; contact a Xerox Rep for service.
Well I would take a can of air and blow off the sensors, especially where you began to have problems. The sensors (over time) become coated with paper dust and now reflect back on themselves thinking there is paper there all them time. From your description of the problem, it seems like the issue-intermitten jams/intermitten false jams, until a total false jam.
You have either dirty or worn out feed tires. Try taking a cleaner like fantastic, formula 409 etc and clean them well.
If you need , google a business called " the parts drop". Give them a call and talk to Britt or Joe. They will have those at a fair price.
I don't work there, but have not found a better Xerox parts dealer anywhere.
