The capacitors are not all that's involved in this issue. You may have to replace the "DM" board and the E2P board. The captioning is likely being produced by your HD cablebox. Have the cable company come out and disable the function through the service menu in the box.

Wd-73737 wont turn on blinking green light

First is if you are able to get it to turn on and blue screen only appears it will shut down as no signal noted.

If you can get it on with Mitsubishi remote : Menu, 1,2,3 enter

This is the soft reset and the set also has a hard reset.

Try the soft reset first and let me know what happens.

Samsung HL-R4266W 42 in won't turn on

Hi,

Initially, have you tried a full hard reset? If not, pls unplug from the mains. Most current devices would reset and revert back to factory default settings (assuming no internal hardware fault) when unplugged for a considerable period of time (from a few minutes to a couple of hours).

Additionally, have you tried powering the unit using another outlet?

Pls post back for any development(s) or even the lack of it.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Good day!!!

That problem is not fixed by resetting of unit..

That problem is usually cause of faulty light engine..Try to replace it with the part # (part number usually indicated on the engine itself printed in sticker)..

Hope it helps..

The tv made a pop sound and now it wont turn on ans both green and red buttons are flashing ..please help

I had the same problem guys! This is what I did:

My T.V. wouldn't turn on. The standby light was flashing six times, then four, then seven...I called Sony and they told me to unplug it for a couple of minutes, then try it again...didn't work....BUT, I have found a solution:

Try unpluging your T.V. for 4 hours+, then turn it back on. Worked for me! It's called a "hard reset" by sony. I had my T.V. unplugged for the whole day though.

My tv will come on but after 5 min or so the front buttons will not let me change the channels or turn it off, in order to turn it ioff i have to unplug it then it takes days to come back on. I do not have...

Unplugging the system for more than a few minutes should perform a hard reset. I suspect that a hard reset will not resolve your problem. It sounds to me like there is a problem either with the 5V power supply or the microprocessor section. Excessive noise on the 5V line can cause the microprocessor to get confused and result in the symptoms you are seeing. Also, a heat related problem with the micro itself could show up this way. In any case, this is not a problem that is likely to get resolved remotely. I would suggest that you invest in a detailed repair estimate. Post the results here and we can walk you through the actual repair.

Tv wont turn on> is there a reset switch?

reset button can apply when the tv turns on. first the tv has a short circuit and has to be repaired in order to be able to reset the tv to the original settings created in the program as brightness, color etc.
your tv now needs a visit to the workshop first, to turn on.

Mitsubishi TV

Good Day, Ritz1234;

Okay, you made sure lamp was seated properly. GOOD!!Now the hard part but the "fix'. On the TV's power supply you will need to change some cap's. But to verify this remove the panel in front, just to right of the lamp panel. Now look closely... reset unit, look, and turn power on, into second panel's opening... if you see the lamp come on for 5 to 10 seconds. Then lamp goes out, then power supply caps need to be replaced.

The power board is on the left hand side of the TV (from the back), power board is in the very back of that left hand ***'y. To repair the supply you will need 4- 1,000ufd 35v, 2- 3300 ufd 35v and 2- 2200ufd 35v caps on that board. They are the only ones on the board, with replacement in hand it will easy to identify parts to replace.

Good luck, if any concerns let me know, good luck, big IRISH.

Sounds like a power suppply problem. Not something that the novice can repair besides trying the usual unplugging and plugging back in.
